Could this be a blessing in disguise for Tyson Fury?

What an animal. All the begging and pleading not to go down 'for his son's sake' etc is vomitable.
What 22 year old Tyson's boxing career will be over because his violent, vicious father is sent down?
In many of the interviews I've seen, he just acts like a violent, boastful, psychopath bully.

Sorry, fixed now. Copying and pasting the whole article from the MEN can get us in bother and as I was doing a little bit anyway...
Thought the full deal was a bit gruesome/inappropriate for our news site but there's a click through to the full piece.

There's a link at the bottom of the news piece above to the full, X-rated article. Gruesome stuff.

Wow, gauging a mans eye out is pretty nasty stuff when all is said and done. For me 11 years is fair, the only reason it seems unfair is that other people seem to 'get away' with less punishment. It is good to see some proper justice being done, maybe if they dealt out tough sentences for other stuff like this then people would think twice before doing these things.
The guy seems like a bit of a psycho and always disturbed me a bit on the ITV interviews.

Intentionally gouging a mans eye out is a terrible thing to do. I suppose If someone was going to kill me I'd do it but to do it in a fight is bloody awful

fcking long time that still. Hell of a long time to a 40 odd year old. Gouging out somebody's eye, I would guess, takes a few seconds and a bit of thought. You can
choose to gouge it out or you can choose to leave it in the socket. I think pleading for your son's boxing career after you've blinded a man in one eye is a f*cking joke tbh.

I only know about him form interviews and stuff and seems to be a bit of a tool, a loose cannon who deliberately goes out of his way to try and show how tough he is.
He has 6 sons or something who love voilence and if you start on him, they will go for you and blah blah blah.......read him say this type of stuff often.
Didn't do him alot of good, did it?

i think you might have got that from the Boxing Monthly....if it wasn't then perhaps BN. Cos I read the same article. I think these magazines give too much coverage to what I consider very mediocre fighters. I've never rated Fury as a fighter, even less as an athlete. This month I believe BM have given a 2 page spread to Richard Towers on account of the fact he's 6 foot 8, he went to prison for doing heinous things and now he's a reformed 8 fight novice (I couldn't give a sh*t......come and tell me when he's had a fight!) Novelty-value in a sh*t division. I say that without wanting to disparage the boxer, the writer or the publication (which I enjoy), just my opinion.

Seeing as he was in Boxing Monthly bragging about all his and Tyson's criminal convictions, I would assume he ha a ton of previous.

Its a huge sentence. Its like 16 years+ before the third gets knocked off for pleading guilty.I would have thought five years maximum for this type of offence. Not saying its right but there has to be consistency,he was hammered.

Boxing champion Tyson Fury's father jailed for 11 years for gouging man's eye out after 12 year grudge over bottle of beer
Does anyone know what happened with the bottle of beer that resulted in their 12 year grudge?

Mate, he half blinded the guy. The guy wont get his sight back in 5-6 yrs or either in 11yrs.
But this tool will be out and back giving it large, again.

Scum bag got what he deserved. Just goes to show how people in the 'travelling community' (note: most camps don't even move!) think they are above the law.
