Respect to Groves , Degale, Mitchell & Murray

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the above for grabbing the nettle and making decent fights for the sport. I include all the promoters, interested parties and trainers in that too that have had a busy stressful week.

We're in a period of boxing right now, where there is more chat surrounding some people "sacking their fitness coach" and "Clitschko" - than the actual fights happening themselves.

When the name Ariza is mentioned more times than McCloskey, Witter and Peterson combined - it shows how low the quality is within the news at the moment - and the culprits, prima donnas and half wits that fortify the business.

So bring on Degale vs Groves, Mitchell vs Murray, Clev vs Braehmer & The Super Six - It's been too long since there's been a decent big fight on.

Totally agree, should be a great year for British boxing! Heard Jason Booth's going to be fighting for the European against Martinez and plus Smith-Simpson there's some great fights coming up

Degale especially. He's doing it the old fashion way and making his way through all his domestic rivals - it's refreshing, he's talking the talk and walking the walk.

Agreed, let's hope all the fights happen.

Hopefully Brook, price, Dallas, Gavin etc step in the right direction aswell

Let's hope they all work out, all the fighters get well paid and the ones who end up losing come back and still achieve titles to show everyone that the precious '0' is not important.

:bag:

Yeah I agree, respect to them all for taking the BIG fights asap.

(still not confident Degale Vs Groves will happen on the Hayemaker show though)

I'd be willing to bet fifty quid that neither Degale-Groves or Murray-Mitchell happen this year. It's not my fault boxing has made me the world's worst pessimist! :DD

I chop and change my opinion on this every other day.

You read Degale wants, then you read Groves wants it.

Then you read Booth asking for extensions to purse bids, then Warren talking Pavlik and Sartison rumours.

Macklin vs Barker has gone to shit, and whomever wrecks this one will be public enemy no1 I reckon Tommy.

Id love to see it happen..But i cant see either promoter letting there boxer fight on a rivals card...Why the hell cant all promoters get togeather instead of ruining these fights what us fans want to see...

hes right thought isnt he in the sense that someone dumping their conditioning coach, being more visible than any of the same boxers potential opponents, is a statement on the poor job being done in a) marketing, b) keeping boxers busy, and c) choosing live opponents.
