When is Rob Norton going to defend the British title?

Norton has been inactive for over a year now. Herbie Hide was his mandatory challenger, but the fight received no purse bids.
Why hasn't the BBBofC given him a new mandatory challenger? Maccarinelli, Dunstan or Afolabi (if he is eligible) would all make sense.
Do none of the other British Cruiserweights want to fight for the British title?

As soon as I saw the title thread, I knew you'd be the guy to post it. No purse bids, like you say, I don't know what Hide's doing, too. I'd love to see Maccarinelli fight Norton, but Macca's waiting to get chinned at 175lbs.

Someone has to ask the tough questions.

Maccarinelli is moving down to 175lbs? Would he be looking for a shot at Cleverly for the WBO title?

He's moving down, yeah, but as for his intentions, I have no idea.

I would predict that Afolabi would win.

I know there was no bids for Norton-Hide,but surely others would take it....I bet Terry Dunstan would love a shot at the title...

Has Norton retired? Has Macca retired? Has Hide retired?
Does anybody really care? It's the worst division out there, even a Glenn McCrory comeback with Adam Smith as head cornerman couldn't make it exciting.

If the best domestic Cruiserweights fought each other then it wouldn't be as bad. The BBBofC needs to sort it out.

He didn't want to fight in Australia for the amount of money he was going to get paid, so he dumped the title and fought nobody instead.

I can't remember his second fight with Dolan very well, but I think I can recall it being a bit boring. Are Sky not interested in showing him?
Does anyone know if Norton actually wants to fight?

Let me be the first to post that Enzo Maccaranelli will never fight at 175lbs.

To answer your question guys...hell only knows.
Terry wants this fight and has been asking for it for a long time now. He is English Champion and in my mind deserves the shot, problem is as much as he calls out Mr Norton, Mr Norton wont play.
The board are going to make a decision next month and then we shall see whats next, Terry is out in April I am told, dont know what for yet but Matchroom will sort it one way or the other
