Oh no... Adam Smith commentating on American Card?

Well, from watching ringside Darke & McCrory (The best damn commentary team of all times) are on the hatton fight. They wont be commentating on the later card.
Smith was shown talking to King and reviewing the American card.
Someone please tell me he is not commentating on it.
If he is, I'm just going to turn the volume down.

Worry about the Beeb's coverage of Reid-Ottke. It could be Jim Neilly! :(

Yes, they're showing highlights of the 10-rounder tomorrow afternoon, and also highlights of Hennessy's Thursday York Hall bill.

Whats wrong with Adam Smith, I personally don't mind his commentating and rate him above many in the business. Hes a damsite betetr than McKenzie and Neilly but just below par with Darke and McCrory

i know he was a bit green in the beginning but for me he's improved a lot over the last year or so
admittedly in the early days he was terrible but he's improved :P
now if anyones got a problem with that i'll meet u round the back of the bikesheds after school :x

Nothing against the guy, he obviosuly enjoys his boxing, but his commentating leaves a lot to be desired.
I can't think of anyone who is worse (inc neilly) :)

I don't mind Smith too much, not in Neilly's league anyway.
Think we might end up listening to Colonel Bob Sheridan though, who King likes to use..

I personally, don't mind Jim Neilly or Adam Smith. If anything, I can't stand Darke and McCrory. Sometimes, they can be irritating and arsey

yeah i'm not an Adam Smith fan, i'd love it if we could have the HBO coverage, but i cant see that happening.
I wonder who Smith will be doing it with. Wayne McCullough? he always seems to be on hand at the big US cards.

Merchant is a jumped-up, impertinent, ignorant blue rinse of a Septic.
I, for one, was mentally urging BHop to save one Butler-esque moment for him.
What exactly he has achieved in his paltry existence, that entitles him to attempt to discipline grown men in public, eludes me.
I also fear a Trans-Atlantic Mentoring programme between him and Garry "No, no, no, just answer the question" Richardson.

Did anyone notice, right at the start os saturday's programme, when Smith and Piper wre on screen discussing the Doodle fights, that Piper had th really restrain himself from laughing at Smith's Alan Partridge antics?
I just thought that was funny, as well as his comment about the ref in the Ruiz Rahman fight smith-"a ombined weight of 35 odd stone in that ring, and the referee of course" Piper-"Yes another 35 stone"
rarely displayed wit, though I think he's a bit arrogant in the commentary seat.

Smith wasn't as bad as I thought he would be. he actually surprised me a little. He has been WAY to dramatic in his commentary for sooo long, but he's kinda stopped doing that.
He's still a complete dillweed, but McKensie is now my most hated commentator.

Duke McKenzie is too enthusiastic and too partisan.
