I Think RR is strong enough mentally to deal with the size of the crowd.

Apparently - the Italian crowds are more vocal than the very quiet Germans......

He won't suffer nerves because of it, IMO..

Good point. Italian crowds, small or otherwise, are notably hostile and the Germans are more reserved.
Read a preview of the Reid-Ottke fight by Steve Bunce in the Independent yesterday. Bunce says Reid won the title in Italy in front of 18,000 people!! That's all wrong. I can remember it was a small arena.

Yes to be fair the German's are generaly a sporting audiance - no booing of the anthems for instance.

This is going to be an interesting one. I hope Reid fights like he knows this is his passport to big money: he can't be too respectful of the German. Sven surely wont knock him out, so why not go for it and make sure he heavily outlands Ottke in every round - it's the only way he'll get the decision.
First few rounds will probably tell us which Robin Reid has showed up.

Yea they are quiet for the most part except for when the German fighter lands the lightest tap on the opponents gloves or arms they absolutely explode.

That's right. They are respectful, but certainly not unbiased. We only have to look at how they accept bad verdicts to see that. I don't think Reid has a prayer in this fight.

Reid is going to suffer a long painful 12 round jabbing lesson.

I can see a lopsided UD for Sven.
