Is Bellew - McKenzie still happening.

If Frankie Gavin is now boxing Jason Cook over twelve as his post suggests, is Bellew - McKenzie 2 no longer happening ?
The fact that Jason Cook Vs Frankie Gavin is now happening on Saturday (at short notice)Camcas wrote:No its still on why wouldnt it be
Yeah, seems a bit of an odd one, particularly with less than a week to go. I mean, an 8-rounder, so what but a 12 rounder...especially when Bellew/McKenzie was/is billed as the main event and being pushed as a 12-rounder/title fight.Chambers2 wrote:The fact that Jason Cook Vs Frankie Gavin is now happening on Saturday (at short notice)Camcas wrote:No its still on why wouldnt it be
Plus there are people on ESB stating it's off (not that I'd trust them 100%)
No way Gavin gets a short notice fight against a dangerous oppo, unless allegedly is desperate for a show-saving fightorbtastic wrote:Yeah, seems a bit of an odd one, particularly with less than a week to go. Bellew-McKenzie being off must be to injury IMO, unless McKenzie has decided to up his demands just before the fight. Injury though I reckonwadey wrote:What is Frank W playing at? First Mitchell v Murray gets announced, then less than a week later it is not happening. Now Bellew V Mckenzie is off.
After hearing last night that the John Murray v Kevin Mitchell fight was off. Boxing fans have been dealt another blow today. Apparently the Commonwealth light-heavyweight title fight rematch between champion Tony Bellew and challenger Ovill McKenzie is off now too! The fight was to be shown live on Saturday's 'Big Fight Live' on Sky. website will be updated when more news comes through. http://www.britishboxers.co.uk

Murray/Mitchell, Clev/Knobhead, Bomber/McKenzie and DeGale/Groves - that'll be the next PPV, IMO. And it would be a very worthwhile PPV, too.Chambers2 wrote:It's all about levelsDioufy wrote:Frankie's saving up his better fights for PPV, IMO. No way does he put good fights on Sky Sports.

No mention of why it's off, so it may not be injury related
Bellow is injured according to Mersy Gloves. Fight to be rescheduled.Horse wrote:Has there been an official announcement that the fight is off?
shit isnt it. Im still going but dissapointed that Bellew isnt fighting, that was a cracking looking fight. Still looking forward to Big Larry and Frankie Gavin though...chiggsy wrote:Does anyone know if either man will still be fighting on the card?
This sport never fails to upset me.
The show's main event will now be an eliminator for the British title with an English title fight as chief support. It could do with a bigger title being on the line.Hot prospect Frankie Gavin will now headline at London's York Hall this Saturday (19th February) after former gym Tony Bellew withdrew because of a hand injury.
