i dont see what the big hoo haaa is - alverez is wbc lmw silver champion or whatever it is. So if the actual title is vacant he should get first shot at it surely?

Hatton was already scheduled to fight alverez for the silver title anyway. So whats wrong with stepping the fight up to a world title fight if the belt is available.

If they are going to have a silly silver status then they have to put it to use.

Has anyone seen Twenty Six, as I've not heard from him for a while, and a) I miss reading his comments and b) would love to know his thoughts on this situation.

I agree but i did also read that the intention of the WBC is for the winner to face the manditory next, which i think is rhodes anyway.
