I stuck a tenner...on Ben Tackie!

Odds of 9/2 on John Shep's fightbetting site were too good to refuse in a two-horse race. Tackie was a proven stayer, after all. But what a great performance from Ricky! He needs to build on this now. I wouldn't like to see him go back to fighting mediocrities ala Joe Calzaghe...

Didn't you read Boxing News bennie?! 8)
Yeah great performance by hatton - in with the big boys now - I reckon he'd steamroll Mitchell.
A Gatti fight would make his fortune.
Just watched the fight in Germany - wont tell you result though!

I know, but sometimes that first big step-up can expose. It was worth a gamble.
How come you watched the Ottke-Reid fight already?

It was on German satellite ARD - just after Hatton fight ended.
Staying up the whole night bennie? I know Sky show starts at 1pm, I think King's card begins 5pm AC time, which might mean we get non PPV fights shown here from 1..

Yeah i was suprised how good he was,the speed and timing was awesome though he never hurt me i think he has improved loads from his blundell loss, his movement was good, and a very nice guy to talk to after.

Yeah, he's looking good for sure. What are your plans next year, Pete?

Quite right Ben, I had £10 on Tackie at 3/1 but Hatton really did impress and I am one of his harshest critics. allegedly really has done a great job with him.
If I were in charge Id put Hatton in with Arturo Gatti, to raise his profile further, then fight Zab Judah, then Zoo.
Witter is out of the frame now.
Well done Ricky Hatton, Well done allegedly.

Phew! I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Tackie was always worth a punt - a proven stayer with a hard head, I had a tenner on myself.

Best thing about Hatton's mature performance was the fact that he avoided cuts IMO. Warren was evasive in the post fight comments, Hatton won't have a big name in his next fight too much money to be made....
