Patterson missed with two hooks, Downing ducking under them, in the moving back he went inbetween the ropes and fell back - was up in time, back facing us, but the ref must have seen something he didn't like, as he waved it off. Hard to know whether a boxer isnt protesting much due to being hurt or due to manners, but the ref is in there to protect the fighter in the end so fair play. Without looking at the mans eyes I can't say much but from the angle I was at I'd have let it go on.
