After a dismal week and a very poor show last night is Mr Warren on the brink. He has also lost purse bids to haymaker (which must have hurt) and in his collum in the sun "boxing's Mr big" seemed very stressed. He has got the fighters but no fights !!!!!!

Sorry wes but I have to disagree. Warren has had a nightmare on this show, no doubt, losing purse bids to hayemaker don't help . Big but, frank is by far the most successful promoter Britain has ever had, hayemaker will never ever get even close to what frank has done. Nor malony or any others. Also one or two on Here have taken personnel digs at warren, the bloke been fair to me many times & also polite and respectfull. You can't dig a man you ain't met. Shrewd business man yes, that can lose a fan or two , imo decent guy . Sorry

warren is numbero uno promoter in the uk, period.

I think actually it was a good week for Warren, the pull outs etc left Warren develop a star in Gavin.... brilliant to see Gavin getting all the attention. At the moment he has clearly been in the shadow of Degale and I was personally very dissapointed to see his fight from the PPV not shown on TV recently.

Couple of good wins and he'll have Clev as a world champion and I think the starts of a changing of the guard - the Calzaghe generation is finished - might be argued that Froch and Haye are coming to the end (if Haye retires and Froch is 33) - Warren holds most of the aces - Degale, Gavin, Brook, Clev, Murray/Mitchell with Burns. Aside from Khan (who for me, in terms of name and appeal is among the premier names in WORLD boxing now) these are the boxers most likely to spearhead world title campaigns in the next 5 years. Problem at the moment, is he needs more stars - getting the ball rolling with Clev and Degale, now he needs Gavin to follow suit. Degale could very well be a world champion this year. Degale, Clev and Burns on the same bill - thats PPV's.

Good call but in all honestly his last 3 shows have been a bit poor for me ,don't get me wrong he can pull it out the bag. At the min he looks a bit desperate , callin out khan for Kell which he new would never happen and the same for Degale , if he though the fight would happen he would have wanted to win the purse bids rather then offering a pretty poor bid

Losing his rep?!

Quite the opposite my friend i think Warren is in a stronger position than ever in terms of comparisons to other UK promoters. Yes he had an off show the other night but essentially it was put together at very short notice and the Olubamiwo fight that looked good on paper was a 1 round blow out.

If he was losing his rep do you think he would be able to get CLev home advantage in a world title fight against a German Braehmer? He has a stable that in 18months time could potentially have 5-6 world champions Burns Brook Degale Clev Gavin Murray

What HE did to England? or What Great Britain did to him boiling him down to an unacheivable weight to put medals and funding before a fighters well being.
They knew he couldn't make Lightweight anymore but made him try and the result was he couldn't fight.

England aren't represented at the Olympics and he couldn't make weight for team GB at the Olympics which i'm sure hurts him more than you.

Saturday saw him headline with none of the other Olympians taking away any of the limelight. Things will only get bigger and better for him. Hopefully there'll be some local cards soon too

Absolutely correct. Highlighted the farce of Olympic qualification that he had qualified 10 months before the Olympics, was already struggling to make weight, but was not allowed to move up.

Just like the American kid Gary Russell Jr, who qualified at the same time and fainted trying to make weight.

Warren is the top man. Miles better than anyone else, been around ages and hopefully will be around a lot longer to come.

Does warren have a second in comand who would take over his stable and dealings ect if he retired or god forbid something happened to him.

i know Barry Hearns son is more involved in the boxing side of things ect and obviosly hatton has family.

just intrested as not familiar with him having right hand man or apprentice out in the public eye.

FW is simply the best, better than all the rest...

What I like with Frank, Ive always found if you do a Deal with Him, He always Keeps it. Thats why He has been where He is so long.

in my opinion, FW shows are at their best when he is under pressure to make good fights. that seems to be the case now and i must say that despite all the messing about beforehand i enjoyed the show on sat night.

whatever view you have of frank in my personal opinion there is no doubt he is still the premier boxing promoter in the UK and will probably continue to be so for quite some time.
