Contrary to what people think, Gavin shouldn't fight for the 140lbs belt yet. A win against Lomax, who took the fight at 2 days notice, up at welter, shouldn't get you a shot. I'd like to see Gavin in with Wright, if I'm honest.

i thin a knock out tournament would be better for the title with daws, wright, cook, gavin, morrisson and williams 10 rounders till you have the last 2 which would then be a 12 rounder. probably the poster's will all be done then barry morrisson will pull out a week or 2 before the fight like he usually does

id like too see gavin at 10st :!:

he looked gaunt at the weigh in & looked very soft fight night. i think gavin trains hard as he has stamina etc but i really o think he cant be strict on his diet.

& who would bloody vacate a title without a defence :!:

i know what your saying about the vacating of the title but he wants a world title shot, personally i think the british title is the best title in the world. its the hardest to win outright so i would defend it but then there is the down side of if he loses the title its a set back in his quest for a world title shot cause imagine if he loses who would give him a title shot then?

Gavin-Wright is a good call&the winner of that gets a shot..I think Theopane&Daws will rematch..

a world title shot :o :o who's he with to open these door's?? i mean he'd get alot more defending his british :!: some of these fighters we dont know of in the states which are on the fringe are far better then are european class fighters.i think theopane has really improved, but i dont rate him as highly as most on here as they see him as some kind of adrian stone.

I believe he said he is looking for opportunities at both Light Welterweight and Lightweight.

Wright-Gavin would be a good match up. Wrights a big lad for a Lightweight.

i did have him quoted say saying it was a 1 off fight and he will vacate

his Facebook post of "if it aint broke dont fix it" about what he will do next seems to suggest vacating
