Wasn't Hopkins the first (and still only )to obtain all four 'major' Belts AND the Ring Magazine Title? at the same time?

Someone PM Jomothepure, see if the kiddie's still about, he was bazzing for charting the trajectory of minor alphabet belts, the lad seemed to have an inexhaustible thirst for digging out the most obscure & strange ones.

Hi Gents, well from memory:

*) Hopkins was the first man to hold all 4 major titles at the same time: WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO

*) Roj Jones held something like: WBC, WBA, IBF, WBF, NBA, IBA, IBO all at once and later fought Hanshaw for the IBC belt

*) in his time George Foreman held WBC/WBA/IBF, Linear, WBU and IBA - although not all at once, and even Lennox Lewis also had IBC and IBO titles during his reign although he never won the WBO due to Akinwande vacating instead of unifying.

I doubt you will find anyone holding more titles at once than Roy Jones at Light-Heavy.

best wishes,

Col/T.M.K

that's all good, but what we're looking for is boxers who unified title outside of the big four.... e.g. unified WBF/IBO champs

Don't ask me why this one sprang to mind but when Choi Tseveenpurev upset WBU belt holder Derry Matthews a few years ago he already held the WBF belt, a rare minor title unification! If only he'd realised he was making history and challenged the IBU champion for all the gold (a quick boxrec check reveals there are no IBU featherweight champions, if they'd have just asked they could probably have fought that as well)

Ah Beg your pardon, right then:

1) George Foreman unified WBU and IBA Heavyweight titles

2) Daniel Santos unified his WBO belt with a WBU title (does that count).....

3)
