In the mean time here is a clip from Cassius Clay vs Billy Daniels
May.19.1962.
Daniels came into this fight with an undefeated record of 16-0-0
and Clay's record was 13-0-0.

..i remember watching the daniels/"clay" fight on live tv and i wasn't highly impressed by clay ... at least in terms of his being ready to fight for the title....something he and his handlers, if no one else , were talking about already. I haven't seen it since, but as i recall daniels was doing okay and he was about as tall as clay and was landing good straight hands. In fact i felt he was in the lead and then it was...what...stopped on eye cuts on daniels?
i think i saw him against cleveland williams ...i'm not going to check the record book to see if they fought...and they both looked stiff and not doing much. if this is the fight i'm thinking of, i was performing at a club and it was on between shows and when i said they didn't look very mobile a guy in the dressing room where we were watching said, "hey...what do you expect? they're heavyweights. they don't move like the littler guys" and i said they didn't move much like the bigger guys either.
I can't get YouTube so I'm interested in what those who can have to say about the "clay" fight.
Plus, I do wonder what ever happened to daniels and hope someone comes up with an update.

Daniels and Cleveland Williams fought twice - Williams won both.
