Know it's been mentioned elsewhere but I saw Degale's promoter complaining at the weekend that he'd heard nothing...anyway, here it is.

Strange, you'd think Coldwell would call a big press conf to announce a prestigious fight like this, rather than have it leak out via the BBBoC.

Chisora vs Fury
Price vs McDermott
Bellew vs McKenzie
DeGale vs Groves
Simpson vs Smith
All fights I'd be interested in.

It just says it is an eliminator. Isn't this fight good enough to be a final eliminator?

Likewise. Let's just hope they all come off. If I was a better man, ad go Price, Bomber, Degale and Simpson.

Groves told someone it was going to be announced this week Warrior, expect it anytime soon I reckon. That said, you're right, not like a promoter to let someone jump the gun on them in the publicity stakes. Like the venue though; just down the road from Hammersmith where Groves is from, not a million miles from Harlesden, DeGale's patch, with a speedy train link direct to Willesden Junction. Seems like some thought has gone into this. Let's hope the fight doesn't collapse for some reason or another.

Frankie Gavin vs Adnan Amar in a welterweight English title fight. Gavin doesn't intend to campaign at welterweight does he?
What happened to the Kevin McIntyre vs Adnan Amar welterweight British title eliminator?

MIDDLEWEIGHT DARREN BARKER (Holder)
Consideration of this Championship will take place at the next Board meeting.
This is what the BBBofC said last month.
What did they decide?

Something not right here re Degale v Groves, FTM already have that night booked for Hall/Donnelly thats live on Sky, surely the Groves people would have been in
conversation with Sky before finalising a date as with the bid Tv money is a must.
Hope it is that date and fairly comfortable it will happen but needs some clarification and as someone said strange they did not announce it themselves via press conference etc.

No idea mate. Date and venue had been set. Was going to be at the Raddison up here but was called of two weeks before hand. Main event instead was Brawley v Green. Want to see McIntyre again to be honest

Would it be cynical to expect that DeGale reports a non-serious injury following saturdays last minute fight that allows the fight to be put back, without a contract being broken, and used to support one of the upcoming big fights - either Haye v Wlad or Cleverly v Braehmer?

Too right Glyn, I'll be going to my first fight in a long time if it all holds together. I'm living just down the road so no excuses. Haven't caught boxing at the Olympia before, just beer festivals and music.
It's virtualy on Groves door step....should be a hell of a night. Shame they wont get John O'Donnell on there too, as he's another local boxer from that neck of the woods.

Well i've actually spoken to dave coldwell about this fight and he is 100% spot on that it is for real and as far as they are concerned the fight is on. dave says groves has worked hard on certain elements of his game and they're confident he will do the business.
So with Hayemaker's end all tied up i cant see any reason why this fight could get called off

Dan if you have contact with him, see if you can find out who is showing it because surely it can't go ahead without live tv and FTM have the 9th as we have stated.

Surely Groves-Degale is gonna have to be on a BIG PPV bill to justify the £400,000 cost, because I can't see it generating that kind of money on a normal Saturday Fight Night.
(I may be wrong)
