Can Casey last the course?

Fascinating fight in Ireland next week and while am convinced the Cuban wins this am wondering whether Big Bang has the tools and the chin to last the distance? Rigo has stopped five from seven as a pro but style wise he's certainly not a ferocious hitter. How do you see thus playing out?

I dont think so and I have £350 notes on Rigo to stop him. Laid at evens with Boylesports

Guillermo struggled last time and it was the pressure that made it a hard fight for him, I never thought I would say this as I am a huge fan of his
but if he does not get Casey out early I can see this being a nightmare for him, Casey will be buoyed by the crowd and if he has any success at all
early on this could be a real battle for Rigo. I like a punt but this is a no bet fight for me.

No Rigondeaux is a good few levels above Casey and should be able to counter his aggression landing cleanly all night and it will eventually take it's tole. I see a mid-late stoppage thr Cubans way

It's strange one, both are really inexpeirenced as pros obviously Rigondeaux is a seriously decorated amateur but Casey is a hardy boy. I'd like to see him go the distance but it's a tough ask. Aw the best tae him though! :TU:

No need to be like that Moorser.

Well I lost the £350 I had on Cordoba to KO Dunne as well - even was within 3 seconds of winning that bet in the 5th.

It was the best £350 I ever lost.

Its nothing personal against Willie and I will be supporting him but I just cant see it mate.

He would probably get disqualified for that and wouldnt go down to well on primetime RTE.

Casey is tough but 12 rounds is a hell of a long time to try to pressure a man thats so hard to hit. Casey will be encouraged by the crowd but its just two of them in there and after the bell rings its down to the preparation you had before you entered the ring.

Casey will have trained hard, as always, but can you picture the gulf in talent between professional sparring in Dublin and sparring in the wild card gym.

The only thing that may help Casey is that Rigondeaux may have taken him lightly and under trained.

Ive only seen Rigondeaux fight once in his last fight and he was awful in that so if he performs like that i see Casey winning

I'd like to see Casey win, but I think its going to be a painful night for him, inside of 6 rounds.

Casey can make it difficult; the cuban is brilliant but he didn't look too happy at times in his last fight. I think that Willie can make it a fight for a while. Go on Willie! (+ Rigo has been a trifle dismissive, lets hope he has underestimated the job).

Rigo did look poor in his last fight, but he won fair and square, and imo Cordoba is a level above Casey. I think Casey will last the distance but lose a wide decision in this one. Rigo is more of a boxer than a banger and as a pro he is not the spectacular fighter he was in the amateurs. If a stoppage comes I think it will be late in the fight after Casey has taken too many.

Simon is particularly partial to a hard, fit, and determined Willie that's more than willing to get stuck in! :oo

I think the cuban has taken this fight because of his struggles last time out. It makes sense for him to get another match up against a pressure fighter one that is at the moment a level and a bit below Cordoba which was a deserved if hard fought victory. people seem to be forgetting that was the first time Rigondieaux had been the full 12 so it is to be expected he would slow the pace down.
