What a charming introduction to a beginning of a thread. I was a ware that Chisora was a Senior ABA Champ but I did not know that he won it when both Tyson Fury and David Price were out through (possibly) injury and/or politics.

He was in it to win it so not his fault. Can only beat the guys put in front of you and he did. Not many win an ABA title do they?

True and you cannot ask him to do any more. People will detract as usual by going "oh he did not fight so and so" but that is a matter that is out of his hands he just fights the guy that is standing in the opposite corner to him, nothing more nothing less.

Price was winning gold at the commonwealths and Fury was winning bronze at the world juniors.

I don’t think Fury was even a junior when Price outpointed him in an exhibition.

I’m not knocking it, just look how useful John McDermott is......... it’s just if you’re gonna go nut busted on toast over Chisora then it’s clear Fury & Price are up there in terms of the best... look how many or how they won their ABA’s.

there all super heavys 91plus kg ! stuart saint john won heavy in 97, and he put harrison down in sparring for england many times.

im not to sure, but i remember price and fury had spiteful rivalry as amateurs, furys dad always called price out and thought his boy deserved the england spot.

I dont think he boxed either in the AMS...
