Why are Haymaker not putting on Degale v Groves fight?
Also Ruiz fight! I would liked to seen this in a smaller venue. O2 is a really bad location also ticket prices are exepensive! Hayemaker won purse bids!Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Considering the wedge they've made from Valuev and Harrison, it wouldn't surprise me if they were in a better financial position than most.
Another spin would be...presumably Hayemaker has secured their end for Groves - so they get that without any of the promotional ball ache, effort or risk.

Dave Coldwell did. Dave must've done a deal with Allegedlyleforge wrote:Hayemaker won purse bids!Chambers2 wrote:Bingoorbtastic wrote:They didn't win the purse bid?
It's quite possible that Hayemaker and Warren did a deal whereby Haye gave up May 21st date for Warren to use for Cleverly, with Warren stepping aside for Hayes summer date with Wlad. Groves v Degale goes on the Warren card and maybe some Warren fighters will end up on the Haye v Wlad undercard? This sounds reasonable (Promoters working together?!?) especially if Sky have covered the Groves Degale purse as I read elsewhere on this forum.Chambers2 wrote:Dave Coldwell did. Whatever behind the scenes machinations went on, the net result is good for us boxing fans. Groves - degale is a fight we all want to see, with genuine needle and its great to see a couple of prospects risking their "0's" in order to fight the best (at their level).
