I had a chat to Peiter Cronje Saturday night, it seems he is moving down to cruiser and is already 94 kgs. It will make the division even stronger in this country. Id love to see Cameron vs Cronje.

That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the thread title.

He was never a big heavyweight so this could be a good move, plenty of domestic fights out there for him.

he'd kill cameron imo.

he's too tough, hits like a truck and is still improving more than likely.

cameron is overrated, possibly on the way down and is under pressure to start looking impresive.

but it would be entertaining you would think.

Cronje v Cameron is an awesome fight.

Cronje will be too strong and too fast for Cameron at cruiser weight.

my money would be on Pieter Cronje by KO.

heavyweights cutting weight to make cruiser never really works out well...look at how cameron has looked at cruiser

thats why Cronje will go well at cruiser weight because he keeps his power but increases his speed.

Cronje at cruiser crossed my mind when I saw him last saturday. Whilst looking very fit he wasnt as big as I thought he was. Cronje v Cameron, Cronje v BJ...who knows. I think there is some great match ups for Pete at that weight.

Cameron V Cronje would be great..... moving down a division is somewhat of a sign that a fighter can't cut the mustard in the next division above (or current)..... thoughts anyone?

I think the Cruiserweight division in this country is stronger than the heavyweight division.

Cameron had a lot more muscle mass than Cronje though. Cronje isnt a big heavyweight. He is around 100 KGs normally. So making cruiser shoudlnt be a problem. He is already 94 KGs, So getting the last few KGs off before a weighin shouldnt be to much of a struggle.

Im not sure about that, Cronje has held his own at Heavyweight against some of our best guys. I think he see's an oppurtunity to get some big fights. Cruiser has a far deeper talent pool at the moment in this Region.

I think the Cruiser is becoming the deepest division in this region.

Pitt, Vea, Forsyth, Ammann, Cameron, McCracken, Soi, Mensah, Azzouri. And then theres Green.

What weight does he intend to be when he fights Tillman next month? Tillman usually weighs more than 130kg.

I'm not sure he is fighting Tillman, Peiter said he is fighting an African fella.

Cronje is still pencilled in to fight Clarence on the 15th April in WA.

Cronje at 220lb, give or take a bit, will be giving away around 80lbs if he gets into the ring with Clarence's 300 plus poundage.

Looks like he's fighting an African American fella, or maybe Cronje is the African (Afrikaaner?).

Cronj'e is fighting Cruiserweight for the remainder of his career - he did get caught by a some crazy but effective wild KO swinging from Tilyard in Perth but the boxer prevailed over the slugger and in the second Tilyard was down and happy to be there by the look of him -Pieter has his Aussie cert and he's fighting Mahommad Azzaoui on the Green / Tarver thing and will rise to the top of the division in no time at all ..look out boyz hes comin and nothin will stop him now. they still record hm as a H/Weight but thats just so the cruisers wont start panicking bwahahahahaha.
