Some good fights last night at the York Hall, with the awkward Darren Hamilton stopping Peter McDonagh to win the southern area LWW strap and set up a crack against Ash Theophane.

They both won.

Robinson was in a great fight with Eric the Eagle Ochteng - very close match. Eagle probably the better boxer but robinson won it on work rate.

Anwar also won in a 10th round stoppage of Nathan Graham. Again, cracking fight. Graham went fully through the ropes twice with wild lunges. Anwar is a classy boxer by the way - on his toes all night, very slick.

Hamilton was impressive. McDonagh is a very tough guy and Hamilton took him apart.

Very inpressive win for Darren he made a mess of McDonaghs eye & his corner threw the towel in. Although McDonagh hadnt won a round IMO.
Adil looked good in winning.
Luke Robinson beat Erick with pure aggression. (4)
Danny Davis won on pts (4)

Anwar is a good fighter.I thought it strange when him and Robinson were put on this bill, theyt are not 'opponents' by any stretch of the imagination.

This is what Spencer Fearon says he is trying to do - make sure all the fights on his bills are well matched, even if the home fighter ends up losing eg Nathan Graham, who's one of the lads on Spencer's books.

Dear me, only found out the result of peter by reading this thread. Really thought he was a class above Hamilton. When I got stopped by darren I had my hands at my waist, playing around. Paris stopped me saying I weren't defending myself. Bad stoppage & really didn't rate him. Fair play coz he must have really come on. Pete phoned me for my oppinion & I told him, easy nights work . What a mug I am

I don't blame you, Johnny. The lad must have come on a lot. Maybe Peter had a bad night. I really thought he'd win. Fair play to the new champ!

Well,i know we all want competitive fights but this seems just reckless of Fearon.Had he even seen Anwar before because i would have made him a warm favourite going in.Whilst evenish fights are better for the neutral,Graham will have sold tickets to family and friends who are only interested in seeing him win on his own show.I wonder if they read too much into Robinson's only defeat as well.He had a lot of issues going into that one and is a very tough kid who can really fight.

Bad day at the office for Pete.
Hamilton proved really awkward .
By the 8th round Petes eye was shut and he couldn't see Hamiltons punches, wasn't any point letting him take more .

Gutted for Mcdonagh. He never really got started.

All credit to Darren Hamilton.
