Hoppa and Big Bob - an update

Former foes have been in the news recently:
- Hoppa seems to have given up on both a ring and football park return based on this recent article:

Hoppa continues to be a busy lad looking after those nine mouths to feed as well as chucking out drunks up at the Cross.
- For Big Bob, the ring still beckons and a different cross to bear, as the big man was contemplating a political career in the recent NSW State Elections as the Herald Sun reports:
Sadly Bob ran a dismal 4th out of 5 starters in the local electorate, so it's onward Christian soldiers back into the ring!

IT SEEMS the Reverend Fred Nile has a new heavy hitter in his corner ... ageing Aussie heavyweight Bob Mirovic.
Sport Confidential had the wonderful opportunity to try and vote Mirovic, a three-time Australian champion, into State Parliament on Saturday - with the big fella nominating for the Central Coast seat of The Entrance under the Christian Democratic Party banner.
"It's been great, everyone's calling me Governor Bob," laughed the boxer who, at 45, is still pushing to fight for the Australian title again in 2011. "I'm trying to get a youth centre opened in The Entrance and, no matter what happens with polling, that'll stay the goal."
So what does Big Bob make of Big Fred? "We've chatted on the phone a few times and he seems like a great bloke," he said.
