Esham Pickering has given up both his British and Commonwealth super-bantamweight belts to concentrate on his vacant European title fight with Italy's Vincenzo Gigliotti in the New Year.
Hartlepool's Michael Hunter, the number one contender to Pickering, is to box for the vacant British title with Coventry's Roy Rutherford, who recently lost his British featherweight title on a disputed decision to Dazzo Williams in Belfast. The bout takes place on the big Ringside show at the York Hall on January 31, a show which also features the comeback of Richard Williams.
