For those who don't know Wlad won in four onesided rounds. It appears that my simple summation of Nicholson in Bennie's preview thread was just about spot on.

Apparently, there is major talk for Wlad Klitchko vs Brewster for the vacant WBO belt, where Tua has gone from the equation (as far as I am aware Tua vs Brewster WBO title fight is still on) I don't know.

I wonder if this will effect allegedly's plans with Danny Williams, remember the talk of a WBO title fight.

We haven't learned any more about Wlad, although there was further evidence that his skin is about as fragile as Michael Jackson's. I have always mainted (and used to get shot down on other forums) that not only is Vitali more durable, but his awkardness makes him a harder fighter to beat. I've never believed that Wlad is better than Vitali.

Wlad still looks a very gun-shy fighter in there. His old confidence is not back by a long shot: he was extremely tentative with his punches, reaching as he tried to stay out of range - even though he had nothing in front of him last night.

Nicholson was just awful, clinching from the very first bell, leaving the crown jeering with only a minute gone.
John Coyle issued him a warning in the second after his continual holding. He tried a few swipes every now and then, but it was all one way traffic.

The American's only real agression was with his head in the clinches, jerking it sideways in a feeble attempt to butt the Ukranian.
In the third he tried a huge round house swing that had the crowd bursting into laughter - it was pure farce.
Coyle then issued another warning for clinching, adding "Last warning".
Nicholson finaly got a bit serious and actualy attempted a few decent shots, narrowly missing Wlad's chin.
But in the fourth Wlad eventualy got through with two big rights that put Nicholson over by the ropes. A follow up barrage of lefts and rights finished him off as Coyle jumped in and stopped it with the American slumped on the ropes, putting us all out of our mysery.

It's weird what Boxing throws up sometimes, had Wlad kept the fight with Sanders long and stayed out of punching range he would probably still be dealing with dangerous opponents and winning bigger fights. However he has been exposed to a certain degree and he looks to have shot confidence, his wins over mediocre opposition like Nicholson and previously Moli are good feeling back fights but he will eventually have to step back up. Can he do it or is he scarred for life, so to speak?
