That's a couple of big names matchroom have just nabbed. Fair Play.

Matchroom are signing unbeaten Brits on the up. Fair play to them.

Let's hope they get Kell some proper fights instead of the total undercard cack he has fought lately.

Good move will get opportunity to fight in Sheffield I would imagine. Who should he fight next?

The Kotey fight was ridiculous. He looked like a startled lamb to the slaughter.

i.ve worked with a lot of promoters and I have got to say Matchroom are a great bunch of people I think what they have that makes them good Is they have a strong team and they all work together. There,s no backstabbing within the camp They just say it how it is. They all support each other and Jonny Wish is a rock and never heard a bad word said about him by anyone. Eddie is young which is what the game needs and they also got the wisemen Barry Tommy and jonny. Not to mention Jumbo and gary well done lads x

I just don't understand why FW didnt give him that step up?

If Matchroom are showing ambition after years of putting on Sky shows in virtual secret, that can only be a good thing.

Would be good if they could get him on the Darren barker bill

Jennings pulled out too; conviction of assault against barman overturned.

For the exact examples you give - darts, poker, snooker - I've always said that if Hearn really wanted to be the dominant British promoter in boxing, he would be.

I think that remains to be seen whether they were better talents than Brook. "The Secret" really did look top drawer at points in his career though. Shame he ran into Sergio Martinez: if only his team knew then what they knew about Martinez now! And Williams decked him twice too!

Hearn has handed over the boxing section to his son, so this could be a case of giving Eddie some rein to see how far he can take it.

If this is true this is a step in right direction for kell. He needs a change , a think FW has done all he can (not a great deal) for such a massive tallet. Kell to be world champ in 18 months

I think British boxing is quite healthy now, with Hennessy Sport, Fight Academy, Frank Maloney, allegedly, Haymaker and Ricky Hatton Promotions all putting on big shows + quite a few small hall promoters as well. I hope they can work together.

I'd be interested to find out why Kell Brook left allegedly though?

perhaps frank will make use of his weekly column or website to give his side of the story?

Eddie Hearn seems to be steering the ship and is showing ambition. Interesting stuff.

Hayemaker promoted the show, Eddie Hearn built Audley up into the challenger he wasn't and forced the issue with Sky. Or perhaps you missed the pile of mis-information they sent out last summer in the form of press releases.

And since when has PPV sales been a guarantee of quality. All it proves is that it it pays to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
