I wouldnt have thought so They wouldnt put there own kid in a match like this would they ??? I know he has boxed on a few of there shows but i dont think he managed and promoted by them

Murray should outbox him relatively easily I would have thought.

Are you sure this is not just a little dig at the Hatton's,princess? Its far from the worst match i have ever seen.He has been in with Trusscott and beat Stefy Bull over 10 and holds a win over Adil Anwar who i rate very highly.He will be a huge underdog and probably wont win but i would have said the same about him before he fought Anwar in Leeds.

He's not as bad as use make out quite awkward not weak not bad not a world beater but definitely better than a journeyman

Yep I've sparred dezzie he's good in a weird way! Not much power but works hard and throws some good shots- seems open but has a funny way of getting out of the way! He works really hard and add to the stefy bull win Tristan Davies and Gary Reid - this from someone who was pretty poor when he initially turned pro. Testimony to his dedication that he's turned things round for himself- this ones a big ask though

Its not a dig at Hatton? I was just wondering who his manager was It isn't hatton Its a strange fight for a manager to take at this stage in his career Like you said he been in with Trusscott and beat Anwar So why not wait till he has had a bit more experience before taking a match like Murray Just find it odd to put him in with him now

They have accepted ALOT wrose, won 10 of his last 12 fights... You really think it that bad? I think Andy will beat him but come it aint that bad...

Murrays improving all the time. No disrespect to Higgingson but Murray should be stepping it up a level. I think Higgingson will give a it a good go. We saw how another Murray faired last week against an opponent he was supposed to bowl over.

As i said earlier,he will have been a big underdog against Anwar in Leeds,his manager is obviously not shy in matching him.If he did somehow pull it off it would be seen as a masterstroke.Sotty if i got the wrong end of the stick princess,just thought you could have flagged up an awful lot of worse fights than this.

Any odds on this?

I couldn't find odds anywhere unfortunately, but it was a sure thing. Andy's career is stalling. Anyone see it?

I saw it, Higginson gave him a real tough fight, dragged him into a bit of a tear up. Higginson didn't do enough to win but gave agood account of himself. I was commentating with John Rawling and we gave it to Murray by 2 points.

Not one bit of disrespect intended towards Higginson but this matchup epitomises where Murrays career is at the moment. He should be past fighting guys of Graeme's level. If there is a plus side, it is the fact that he is keeping relatively busy.

Like there is no doubt about it he's a good boxer, but doesnt have the power to trouble the top guys...

The fight filled me with an amazing sense of apathy.

After the fight I asked Andy what was up with him and he said "nothing" and that he was fine.

Seems content with his performance. Certainly threading water and not making progress - as crazy as it may sound I think they are looking to beat Freddie Gilroys win-streak.

Apathy... interesting! I just get frustrated with the lad. He's Irish so I'll never give up on him but I feel if his opponents step up in standard so will his performances

I watched him comfortable beat Peter McDonagh a few years back, when Peter still had a bit of fight in him. I've seen Andy fight Oisin Fagan and it would be fair to say Oisin didnt lay a gloves on him until it was stopped early, to early infact... the boy can box and just needs to be put against someone decent to show us...

Maybe he needs to get rid of Brian Peters, who doesnt seem to be having any shows theses days....

was at the stefy bull fight good fight too it could have gone either way stefy had just come out of a 11 or 12th month absence through injury bit crazy to jump straight into a 10 rounder against a guy who was coming of 2 good wins off unbeaten davies and tough reid but like someone said he doesnt have much power but he had a good workrate i remember starting very good then started to fade mid rounds he was struggling in the 9th and 10th but he his tough nut higginson dont under rate this guy
