seems to be a few posts on other forums were folk seem to think it wont go ahead etc ? with the sky sports allegldy not showing it etc ,do you think hes just going to pull it? and can he legally do it?

hope no as i know personally loads of irish fans who have paid loads to go over aswell as other fans

To be fair,the clash with the all Manchester F.A cup semi final is horrendous news for the Khan's.Bolton are in the other one the following day,too! It will struggle badly for publicity in the press and on T.V. It has done well at the box-office mainly down to the fact McCloskey has sold a lot of tickets and attracted a lot of English based Irish,too.Half of Manchester will be in London when the undercard kicks off and the other half in the pub.

If khan pulls out he never be on sky again. The fight only sold as many tickets due to mmcloskey support.

i dont buy into this that it wont do well on tv cause of the semi finals they will be finished early evening the fight wont stat til about 10 proberly,arena wont start to fill up till after 8 or so anyway

It was in the states and it was a good bill, and Khan vs Malignaggi was a good fight on paper (better than Kotelnik and Salita anyway) - so I'm sure Sky could have got a couple of British title fights in the UK and made it a PPV if they had the option.

Stu the malignaggi fight was meant to be ppv with Mitchell v katsdis but the khan wanted too much of ppv cut I read. That why they gave it to itv!

I think Khan won't pull out because of the money. If he did, he'd never get any from Sky again (I would have thought).

I just don't follow, other than temper, why they would withdraw. Makes no sense. Fight and get exposure on normal Sky and some money. Don't fight, take a loss and have no future with Sky.

Read Khan's money has been cut from 1.25m to 250,000. If that's true then I expect a back injury to occur in the next couple of days.

Potential money the reason it's been cut from ppv as it was looking like it would fail.

Apparently one of khan camp tweeted channel 5 then deleted it!

The root cause of the problem - if it is a problem - is that Khan's choice of opponent is not marketable/good enough. I would have paid for a Prescott rematch, Bradley, Alexander, Maidana rematch and Judah but not McCloskey (who needs to beat a big name for me to part with my ££££'s.

Exactly, Pacquiao can just about get away with every fight being ppv at this stage of his career fighting big names. Khan needs a top opponent or a very serious undercard.

Obviously I'd prefer there was no PPV or alternatively that you could buy an online stream without a subscription a la Primetime.

I think the fight is dead in the water, I mean I wouldn't fight if my money had been cut that much - would you?

Don't think Khan will fight in UK again as well.
