What did come across during this - and I believe him - was that he personally seems to have had very little to do with any of the to and fro.

I don't think it's Khan calling the PPV shots either - he's never really struck me as the type who gets too concerned about money ( unlike say, his boss, Oscar ) and all the PPV shenanigans either.

I really think it's the jumped up advisors & agents he's got surrounding him - big egos and small minds - and they seem to be helping him in the same way Naz was "helped" later in his career.

Yeah 14,000 is about right with a final figure of around 15/16,000 so iit'll be pretty full and a great atmosphere especially with the irish fans coming down in their 1000s.

Well moved his fight to an obscure backwater PPV channel with hardly any viewers. And do you really think Premiere are going to pay him a whole lot more than Sky ? This is a run of the mill fight, and the PPV numbers will likely be a world record low.

Well if you just have the normal sky package it would and i can understand his team jumping ship, it was SKY who announced it months ago as a PPV date and then in the final week they push it out not to Sky sports 1 but to the oscure Sky sports 3, home of pigeon racing and tiddlywinks.

I think his team have accepted they're going to take a massive hit either way and have been somewhat screwed by SKY so it's their way of saying Feck you to them and taking the fight to Primetime. It'll give them options for when they come back a few months later with the Khan vs Bradley fight.

Well maybe SKY should refund everyone that bought Haye vs Harrison rather then start getting all sanctimonious about the quality of this PPV.

Well i would have had more respect for Sky if they'd come out after Haye-Harrison and state they wouldn't be doing any more PPV's unless they involved Elite fighting Elite but the fact is they were more then happy as of 2 weeks ago to go with Khan vs McCloskey and Fury vs Rahman as a PPV event when that was hardly much of a step up from the Haye vs Harrison fiasco.

That where sky got it wrong they should have made sure there was a good card like the last few Warren ppv before annoucing it.
Also why did the Khans let the Hattons in charge of the undercard they not come out of this well either.

I don't think it's Sky's fault (or the promoter's) that people kept pulling out of the undercard. In the end they judged - correctly I think - that viewers would react badly to being asked to pay £15 for a show that had nothing on the undercard, and a main event that is not between 2 elite fighters (sorry, but McCloskey is not elite). They seem to have learnt from the Haye-Harrison fiasco, so kudos to them for that.

The best we can hope for is that the Primetime PPV bombs, then maybe Khan's "handlers" would learn their lesson as well. I, for one, will most certainly not be buying it.

The main probblem is that Sky do not invest in enough decent boxing for their subscribers, so force all the big names to go PPV.

Let's not forget the way they treated Froch or the way they treated Haye when he challenged Mormeck for the world title.

If sky say they had enough of boxing as it more hassle than it's worth. Where does boxing go in the uk?

Hopefully froch situation is going to be sorted!

if you have the sport package sky sports 3 is on it anyway. Why would you just get sky sports 1 - half the stuff isnt even on that channel anyway?
