May 21 ticket prices

I've been looking forward to this fight since both Groves and Degale turned pro, and i've said there was no way i was going to miss this one. I even thought i might splash out on ringside for the first time ever, expecting to pay between £150 and £200. I was shocked when i saw the price of the tickets.
First of all, when Cleverly's fight was first announced for Wembley Arena in May i'm sure ringside seats were no more than a couple hundred (someone can correct me if i'm wrong), so how can anyone justify the astronomical rise in price due to the addition of a domestic title fight?
Secondly, floor tickets are £300, even that could mean you're about 10 or 20 rows back in what would normally be the unreserved cheap seats at many other places with an equivalent standard card.
And finally, the O2 is an awful venue for boxing, in the upper tier, and even the back of the middle tiers where you will pay £88 you can't see a thing and end up watching all the action on the big screens.
Anyway, sorry for the massive rant, had to get it off my chest!
So do i have a right to feel aggrieved, or am i just being a tight git?!

I got £200 floor tickets I am row J looks good to me.

Tickets are cheaper than Khan Limond and a bit cheaper than Haye Maccarenelli.
150 gets you floor seating. Or at least it did unless sold out.

I paid 500 quid for calzaghe vs Kessler ringside tickets and needed a search party to see the ring, the bottom tear at the 02 are really good viewing seats.

When you are talking £150 to get a good view, that is extremely steep. Like it or not, boxing is competing with sports like football and I was "only" £280 for a season ticket for my club. I would rather go to a season of football than only see one or two boxing events live.

I think you can get a 5% discount if you buy through the QPR website.

I actually think that the floor seats are not value for money. I always sit right at the front of the lower tier square on to the ring which gives a better view for a cheaper price. The only benefit of floot tickets is that sometimes you see boxers milling around and can chat and have pics taken with them etc.

Maybe this is what they have to charge to make it pay, but in my view only a mug would shell out that much for this.

Compare it to the Froch-Johnson fight in Atlantic City where the top priced tickets are $300, which is approx £185. And that's in an arena with a capacity of 2,500 or thereabouts.

Agree 100%. The only time I've been to boxing at the O2 I thought the view from the lower tier was pretty good for a large arena. I bbooked early and got the front row of the lower tier (behind the goal in footballing terms) for £88.IMO expensive but not exhorbitant.
