With all the recent debate over what constitutes a good value PPV, I was looking at the card for 21/5 and wondering whether this card stacks up and if not, what is needed as a minimum to bring it up to standard.

Currently the bill is showing as:

Cleverly v Braehmer - WBO Light Heavyweight Title - Good, competitive fight for the weakest version of the world title. Its a worthy fight at this stage for Cleverly, but he's not getting in with Pascal, Hopkins, Cloud or Dawson who are probably all above Braehmer in most rankings.

DeGale v Groves - UK Super Middleweight Title - Highly anticipated among boxing fans - could be competitive, could be a blow out, but interesting either way. DeGale has "name value" through his olympic medal; Groves is almost unknown in the UK sporting psyche. It's a match up that needs to happen for domestic boxing credibility, but its not a fight that captures the general public attention.

Gavin v TBA - Should be another step up for Gavin after the Lomax win, but without an opponent it's difficult to have a view.

And that's it. Given Khan was told where to go with a card that had a genuine world title fight and an undercard featuring Watson v Purdy, Tyson Fury, Rendall Munroe, Martin Murray and Gary Buckland, is this Warren bill actually any better?

Who can be added to the card to make it worth £15? Is it too late to add Chisora v Fury or Murray v Mitchell (or both) or will it be a card heavy with the likes of BJ Saunders, Ronnie Heffron, Liam Walsh and Callum Johnson v TBA?

Its needs to improve, I'm hopefull for Pascal vs Hopkins to be added to the PPV.

If Gavin has a tough domestic level fight and another Euro/High British level fight is added (Rees/Murray) then I think it's worthy of PPV

How about bellew - Mckenzie?

Is bomber still injured?

Maybe get Billy Joe Saunders an English title shot?

Gavin - probably for British title
Chisora - Fury, will get added hopefully
Murray - Rees, will be added if FW wins purse pids
BJS - probably for English title or eliminator
Bellew - Mckenzie

I know not all of those will happen but even if four of them are on there it is PPV worthy IMO

If they stick Chisora v Fury on it, then I'll be buying it (probably would anyway). Murray v Rees is a superb matchup, but not sure that Allegedly will risk Murray on an undercard - he's probably planning that for another PPV somewhere down the line.

I'm going in a group of 6, of which I'm the only "hard-core" boxing fan. If that's the card I'll be leaving my mates in the bar to take my seat very early-on.

The Magnificent 7, which is held up as the best value PPV of recent times in terms of depth was nowhere near this in terms of deep quality. However....

I can see Gavin in a UK title fight, but not a competitive one. Someone like Curtis Woodhouse.
Then we'll have Chisora in a tune up, so it'll be fairly low risk, probably a foreigner, but hopefully one with a bit about him, maybe Sosnowski or Liakovich (if he's still fighting). Can't see Warren putting in a bid big enough to win the purse for Fury-Chisora and then putting it 3rd or 4th on the bill. If he wins the bid, Chisora v Fury will headline its own (non-PPV) card.
Murray v Rees is quite possible and that would be a good 'un
BJS in a 90:10 match up
Can't see Bellew - McKenzie happening here

Doesn't Chisora v Fury go to purse today? If so hopefully we'll find out if its likely to end up on this bill.

I still think it's a fantastic bill, Clev v Brahmer ,Chunky v Groves ,Frankie on against someone decent although he'll make anyone look a level below him! It's a top bill, Paul Smith, BJS, Liam Smith the crowd will be entertained for sure!!

I am going to the fight but for ppv it is still bit weak.

The size and sheer magnitude of the fights make it PPV, Everybody who loves boxing in this country want to see Groves V DeGale add to that one of the countries brightest talents fighting in a genuine 50/50 fight for a world championship then you have a big bill, I think the unlucky ones who dont make it to the arena will definitly pay the £15 for this event...

I'll be attending but if I wasnt I would pay no complaints, I feel its better than any Khan PPV so far, Lets not forget it was FW that brought us Khan V Maidana too... ;;-)

How many of the casual fans know these boxers?

I think allegedly still needs another big 50/50 fight on there. He's got every opportunity to put Chisora v Fury on there, but i don't think he will somehow.

£15 is cheap at half the price so get your beers and take away ordered and watch some Boxing
