Was just reading BS there and one of the stories was a piece on former british Featherweight Champ Paul Appleby. He mentions that's hhes sparring with Ricky Burns and says after a warm up fight he wants Current SuperFeather weight Commenwealth champ Liam Walsh after that. It would be a very interesting fight if it happened. What's your thoughts and predictions

I could see this being a cracking fight. I thought Appleby was going back to featherweight? Walsh is an improving fighter and for Appleby it would be a chance tae get back to Championship level. Against Layrea Paul was really poor not a great start to his campaign at 9st 4. But he's got power he could hurt Walsh so i'd give him a good chance. Bring it on i say.

This would be a really good domestic dust up! It's definetly a winnable fight for Appelby, if he stuck to his boxing I think he would frustrate the inexperienced Walsh with his sharp jab and could then bring in the body shots. But if he's anything nearly as unsharp and lethargic as he was against Laryea then Walsh would be too active and his high staminia and combination punching would win it for him. My bias would lean me towards a Paul Appelby UD

I think Walsh is too good a boxer for appleby. Walsh was extremely accurate. Sharp & clever. Paul found his level. I think Walsh has a long way to go. One of the best I shared a ring with

High praise from you Jonny. Was he powerful or was it just the pressure that brought the stoppage cause av naw saw it. I think it really is a 50/50 fight.

not that powerfully but just bloody accurate. Don't waste any shots. Most are good until you get under their skin with the windups. Liam just shrugged it of & kept on . He ain't no powder puff but been hit a lot harder. Just not as regular. I really think he's class
