Mac -v- Bellew would be an interesting fight - both can bang and both can be vulnerable.

As Bellew looks as though he struggles to make LH, why not a fight at a catch-weight of 13 stone ?

Yep, I think Enzo's done really, ever since the Haye fight, he's seemingly lost all his punch resistance. He was always a little chinny I think, he's got a pretty long not very thick neck, and his jawbone is quite narrow also, which doesn't usually bode well for taking a solid lick.

Agree with you and Dan, a real shame but having a good chin and punch resistance is something you can't teach in the gym.

Shame, as some of the guys he's lost to were not as good as him, they just took a shot better..

I don't include Haye on that list, obviously, but Frenkel and Afolabi are two I think he'd have beaten convincingly if he had a cast iron jaw.

He's been seriously sparked in, what, 4 of his last 8 fights. It's perhaps questionable if he should be allowed to continue. I know it's the nature of the sport, but seriously, this could all end really badly.

Totally agree. He's had a good career, there's no point in trying to make a comeback.

Could be another ugly knock-out. Enzo really does need to retire, there is nothing for him to prove.

He maybe better off at light heavy, but I doubt it. It's more likely that he'll be severly weight drained as Chris Byrd was when he dropped down from heavyweight. Either way though it's up to him when he wants to retire.

Agree that it is his call but there comes a time when those whose role it is to protect boxers and the good name of the sport need to take the decision out of the hands of fighters who are too brave - or too broke - for their own good.

Not saying Enzo is broke - have no idea at all on that front - but sometimes fighters carry on taking bouts for the cash and the damage done is irreparable.

I think the lack of a plan B when he failed to blast Afolabi out of there was the bigger problem in their fight.

If Enzo is to comeback then he might aswell have a good go for it - which will mean these young lions.

I would like to see him have at least one tune up at the new weight first - could you have imagined what David Haye would have done to Chris Byrd - but after that, might aswell be left of the leash.... whats the point of a half-hearted effort.

I take you point Stu, that is the other side of the coin.

It's a case of retire, come back all guns blazing and have one last crack at it (and there is a 75% chance you'll get badly, badly hurt again) or take an easier path and have 4/5 bouts against solid but not huge punching opposition and see where that takes him

I'm not usually one for encouraging fighter to take an easy fight, but boy does this guy deserve some.......been a serious of bangers, crunching KOs and tough fights one after the other for too long. Look at how quickly he won the Euro title after being messed up and coming back.
