Quick question did Andrew Murray win tonight? And if so how did he look good in doing so?

he won on points but didnt look that impressive tbh cant see him posing much threat to mitchell,murray and crolla on this performance

Cheers, thought that would be the case for a fighter who showed so much promise when he turned pro, he's 24 & 0 now and things have never got going for the lad, in the sense that he hasnt got any big fights.. pity....

It's really frustrating with Murray. He has talent but has reached a comfort zone of fighting guys that are a level below him and he looks pedestrian when beating them. He needs to be matched tougher or his career and peak will have passed him by. He has been the top ranked EBU lightweight for a while now so Brian Peters needs to be pushing for a shot at that belt. I think John Murray will drop the belt soon so Peters should start pushing for a shot at the vacant now.

Why not push for a fight with Murray?

I don't think J. Murray will keep the belt much longer. I'm only guessing but I have a feeling his next fight could be an eliminator. Murray vs. Murray would be an interesting scrap - inside fighter vs. outside fighter. I wouldn't be opposed to it happening but can't help but wonder why it hasn't happened yet, I have a feeling Brian Peters is waiting for J.Murray to vacate.

Murray is in a bad situation. He is horrible to watch, doesn't draw in Ireland and never fights decent fighters. Where does he go from here?

He suffers from a lack of a real dig. Really quiet lad too, which is not always the best when trying to push yourself forward.

What beats me is the lad can't be making much of a living fighting the type he has

I wish him all the best but can see him taking any titles in the near future, who could he fight next?

He seems to have gone backwards, needs to get out of his comfort zone, and quick. He's not getting any younger.
