Why did the ref jump right into the ring? Normally they stand in the corner.. Something dodgy there I think. I've had worse cuts shaving

Doc stands on apron normally, and normaly let the fight go to the end of the round and let the corner do their work then if its still bad after then next rnd stop the bout.

Doc was in the ring far too fast for nme, new doctor ? US / euro doctor ?

Could be they didn't want to do the examination in Khan's corner, as the doctor was sat on that side of the ring.

Why didn't he just walk over to the neutral corner? It all seemed odd.

he was already in the ring the ref just waved him towards mcloskey i think everyone should email wba and bbb of c and order a rematchits an absolute disgrace

I thought the stoppage was poor, but I would not like to see a rematch. Khan won every round decisively and was really starting to rock McCloskey in the sixth. Also, it was a voluntary defense, so Khan doesn't owe McCloskey another shot imo.

rock him? were did you see this cause all i saw was mcloskey wrong footed and amir getting abit excited because of it,your right it was a voluntary defence butmcloskey was making amir look silly in parts of this fight. amir is no big fish he is a normal fighter not even in the same mold as the likes of mosley,katsidis,jmm or even collazo i hope amir gets knocked the fook out soon cause im sick of his bullsh1t interviews and bullsh1t style of fighting he doesnt know how to control a fight at all

Khan never looked silly. He easily won every minute of every round. If anyone looked silly in the fight it was McCloskey, constantly leaning back with his hands down while Khan nailed him. Also, pretty much everytime McCloskey opened up he was countered.

Khan did McCloskey a favor simply by offering him this fight. I agree that the stoppage was early and I didn't like what Khan had to say post-fight, but a rematch should not be in the cards.

A dodgy stoppage indeed, but Paul should have said something to the doctor - he didn't. I feel had Paul made a case, he could have seen the round out, allowing the cut-man to go to work.

The doctor did sort of swagger into the ring didn't he?

From my knowledge the doctor is not allowed to step foot in the ring when the clock is ticking.

I reckon the bookies paid the Doctor off................ it cost me £60 for starters

I thought Khan certainly looked a little sloppy when McCloskey slipped a five punch combination in the fourth round.

But yeah, there is no chance of a rematch.
