can he squeeze into the current domestic scene which now has Howe, Towers, Dallas, Fury, Chisora, Perez, and Price...all interesting fighters in different ways...and nearly all 'KLIT SIZE' ?

lets be fair though daleys not upto much, perez prob the pick of that bunch you mentioned,be good to see perez v price

I'd be nice tae see a scottish Heavyweight Champ of some kind. Never had a prolific Heavy at all up here. He's got alot to do to catch up wi those guys though.

Yeah I always wondered why the Scots never had a decent big man even us Welsh have Tommy Farr.

It was a decent pay day but that isn't why I took the fight. It was a calculated risk that didn't pay off, the guy had only 9 amateur bouts under his belt and I thought I could have put the pressure on and make him fold. He was the strongest hardest hitting man I have faced and if my defence hadn't been so tight He would have made a right mess of me. I'll obviously have to stick to cruisers for now. The ref said "he's too big and strong for you" I couldn't argue really but like I said my defence was tight and I'm not hurt or marked up so I'm back in training for a home show on the 28th May in Preston where I will get at worse a 50/50 match up. Anyway I've got to go now as I am really busy at the minute with work and boxing so I'll get back on here when I can.

Is there any footage of this guy available? Has anyone here (besides Howard, obviously) seen him fight? It's hard to discuss his potential when so little information is availabe. He's huge, but being big rarely equates to success unless the fighter possesses other strengths. I have seen articles in which people suggest that he can be a world champion, but the same is said about virtually every prospect (like Scott Belshaw, lol). His lack of amateur experience certainly won't work to his advantage.

I saw him the other night and he did look handy. The fight only lasted 2minutes 45seconds but you could see that the guy has fast hands and good feetwork. He rushed in a little trying to get the stoppage but it worked because he got the stoppage. Was a good weight at 16 and a half stone for a 6f 7 guy so he was in good condition. He was almost the height of me when he was sitting down!

I have fought 4 of those you mention there and I can honestly say he is the strongest most powerful guy I have fought in my 27 bouts, had my defence not been what it has become then he would have hurt me. Towers caught me with clean head shots during my fight with him at the MEN last year and I thought the ref might be thinking about jumping in so I said to him "I'm ok ref" and he let me see see the rounds out. I tell you if Cornish had got through with those bombs he was throwing I would have touched down. I'm not going to be messing about at heavyweight for the foreseeable now guys, I'm going to have a few home shows and stick to guys my own size for a bit. Talking about "KLIT SIZE" when I squared up to him I thought if you took his head off and put Vlad's on there wouldn't be much difference. Looked after well he will go far and has got the makings of British/Euro champion no doubt. My manager, trainer and I have all had a good chat and there will be no more calculated risks at heavyweight at least until I have a few wins under my belt and definitely not against any untested giants

No it wasn't I operate better at this weight and my chin is the same, better in fact with the improved fitness. I know I am new to the game relatively speaking but I know my boxing through living it and trust me the guy is a powerhouse with knockout punches! He will be knocking folk out, I've never given up in a fight but I'll be honest it was a bit of a relief when the ref stopped it

If I was his promoter I'd try to match him against guys with a similar themed sirname to him.

I saw Gary win the Scottish amateur title last year and was very impressed with him, for a guy with little experience. Also saw his pro debut and again impressed with how he put his shots together. Big, young guy with loads of time on his hands. Good luck to him from all at Saltire Boxing.

Gary is now 3-0 and is super grounded. He works extremely hard in the gym and certainly has a huge volume of potential. He will be lacing up again in December when he should be sitting at a solid and well conditioned 238lbs. I will try to get hold of the latest fight DVD and produce a link on this forum.

His next fight is Manchester June 2nd. Opponent to be announced.

He's well slow! Could be a contender at British level for sure, but he's not one of those fighters that looks more experienced than they are. On the other hand, if he has a good chin, his looseness might just play to his advantage - he certainly appears to have pretty heavy hands.

Agreed - Tom Dallas looked pretty tasty until he encountered a half-decent operator in Page

I think he can only be judged when he fights guys who punch back and punch regularly but good luck to him,i actually arranged for him to spar Chisora in Fort William when Dereck was ment to fight Klit, according to TG hes going to be the next best thing just like the last one and the last one,can TG spot a good fighter from a bad one? I DOUBT IT!
