Since the deletion we have seen some truly great fighters come and go and a lot of not-so-greats (thank you very much Eric Crumble). This thread is dedicated to honouring those greatest of Simboxers who have transcended this quaint institution in which we all participate.

Many full seasons and great fights have forever been lost since the Great Deletion... But post that traumatic event, there are full records of 4 completed seasons:
Light Heavyweight, (40 weeks)
Featherweight, (20 weeks)
Welterweight, (35 weeks)
Middleweight, (20 weeks)

It is exceptionally difficult to decide which of the past warriors would make the Pound-For-Pound shortlist.
But, perhaps the best place to start is to look at those titans who have ascended to the Hall Of Fame.
They are: (roll out the expsnesive red carpet)

Tiger Jack Fox (LHW)
Michael Spinks (LHW)
Sugar Ray Robinson (WW)
Jose Napoles (WW)

But who else should join them in a Pound-For-Pound top 10?

As with this I can only state my personal opinion, and for a matter as weighty as this it is not enough.

I have collated the records from the past 4 seasons and cross-referenced them twice over, so there are no mistakes, nor glaring errors.

So with the question in bold, who would you put in your top 10?

It's a very intriguing topic. I'm just going to throw a few names out there to start it off.

Would the unlucky Archie Moore, (who just missed out in a HOF spot) be thrown in there? Archie had a great season and really came on strong toward the end.

Or howabout Maxie Rosenbloom who was a top contender throughout?

What of Rafael Marquez? Has his reputation been forever tarnished after Marquezgate?

What about Alexis Arguello in the Featherweight season? He was consistently ranked in the top 5, and number one for a while.

And Willie Pep... The late starter who won the first ever Million Dollar Tournament and used that to inspire future sucess, finishing the season as a triple world champion.

Carmen Basilio? The man who was the thorne in Robinson's side...

Sugar Ray Leonard (WW)... Whom recovered from aids and won the Million Dollar tournament

And Hagler in the Middleweight season? He was number one for most weeks and had the best record...

Raf Marquez at Feather weight

Bob Fitszimmons at Middleweight

Walker

champ in both weights

Best there is, best there was, best there ever will be...

Drazen Durakovic. 7 Straight fights landing 100% of his punches. Only defeat was a DQ after demolishing his opponent for the whole fight. Won every belt there was with ease.

Id also like to add, Benny Leonard. Who went 12-1 before the Season was cut short.

Landed EVERY punch he threw for 7 fights. Now that is impressive.

Not even Tiger Jack Fox did that.

Also only fighter to defeat SRL (by stoppage, as were all his wins in the MW season)

In fairness though, was that really much of an accolade? Leonard only came on strong toward the end.

I'm sure the Commish would have a copy of the top 10 stats of that season (if he kept them that is).

Pep. Had an attrocious start to the Season but bounced back in the MDT and was really starting to set the Sim World alight until it was prematurely ended.

Collazo and Mayweather both deserve a look in for the welterweight season which I think was ran by Nels. Having their time before the great deletion may hinder there place though especially with many new managers about that don't remember how good they were.
