You should be able to get what you want in the ballot, but cheaper tickets could be hard to come by if you wait until later.
I'e gone in for a few sessions, a couple of the blue-flagged events so I can take my little boy along, as there might not be another home Olympics in his lifetime, let alone mine.

I've applied for tickets to the quarter finals and semi finals as hopefully i'll get to see as many future world champions as possible. I originally thought boxing would be oversubscribed as Team GB have had a lot of coverage in the press and there's a good chance of GB medals

I have applied for quite a few days of the boxing, and a few headline days in other sports... I'll be stuck for cash if they all come through though! As has already been said, who knows if/when the chance will come up again.

It's a 10,000-capacity arena being built at Excel, not just the usual flat seating deal, so there are plenty of tickets available.

Far too expensive for the latter stages. So much for being for the people

The finals were a bit steep starting at 95 per ticket, I agree.
I went for the cheap seats in both semi final sessions - 30 quid a pop.
I didn't think that was too bad. Think of all the elite level pros who came away from the Olympics with a bronze?...
If my application comes off I will get to see all 4 medalists in each weight category box

The organisers haven't really mentioned the boxing as one of those likely to go to ballot so hopefully anyone who has applied should get what they want.
If only we could always get what we want in the pro game too
