He awful! Simpson was robbed again!

Like the first fight, I thought Simpson won, but it was very close and could have gone either way. 118-112 is an epic joke of a card though.

Is anyone outraged anymore? Simpson had to a) knock him out or b) win it out of sight and then he might have got a draw. I also liked Fwanks neutrality at the start of the fight. Shows our sport in a really good light doesn't it?

Why the eff is nothing ever done about jokers like O'Connor? Sure, the board can release a statement about how they will have a stern talk with an official, but that same official is always right back putting in shit performances in important fights.

Does Fwank have an interest in Simpson any more? I dont think he does.I was impressed Fwank had made the effort to go to be honest,he sometimes does not,even to some of his own shows.

O'Connor should be disciplined. He is clearly not fit to judge fights. This is a serious issue and makes a mockery of hard working fighters and their efforts.

i think in the light of o'connor's scorecard here and considering previous indiscretions (Fury v McDermott part 1 springs to mind) it might be time for the old chap to let someone else have a go

Terry O'Conner is a pathetic judge! 118-112 there is no possible way the fight was that one sided, 2 rounds to Simpson .

O'Connor's scorecard was very poor.

He must have just been watching Smith and given him every close round. The fight was very close again. I imagine John Simpson feels like packing up; he's not had one close fight get called his way :(

To be fair to the author of this post, you are right. I didn't look at the other titles - just saw O'Connor's name in the title of this one, remembered his bizarre performance for Fury v McD, and wondered whether he'd been up to his old tricks.

This isn't a huge spoiler, it just let's you know the fight went the full 12, I'd be more concerned with the thread "simpson was robbed....again!"

judged a fair few of my fight s and ref a few but thank god they didnt go the distance fornicate me he wants sackin this not the first time was not long back was the same

Just watched the fight as couldn't see it last night. It's a sad state of affairs when you watch a fight knowing which way the result will go even though it was close. I thought Simpson won by 3. O'Connor is a disgrace, there is no defending that, if he had any pride (which I very much doubt) he should walk away from the sport. That card is utterly unjustifiable.

Shame for John Simpson, poor guy can't even buy a result....whereas other people clearly can (or maybe one card anyway)*

Could be right here. Apparently, John McDermott's Dad fought and stopped Terry O'Connor years ago. That might have had something to do with his ridiculous scoring that night.

What I don't understand is, the board acted on that decision, and ordered a rematch. Why are they still letting O'Connor score fights? 118-112 is an absolute joke. It's almost as if he's thinking, "That was a close round so I can be justified in giving it to Smith", which is bollocks.
