I take it you've never been to Dagenhamstujones wrote:Is that really his family home?
I think he has a day job on the tube doesn't he?Coco wrote:Fighters don't tend to be on a wage, they earn on a fight by fight basis, London is an expensive place to live, Mitchell has a missus and a kid, if he doesn't have a day job he won't have a lot of cash
Surely he'd have picked up more than the average geeza on the street does in a year for his fight with KatsidisCoco wrote:Fighters don't tend to be on a wage, they earn on a fight by fight basis, London is an expensive place to live, Mitchell has a missus and a kid, if he doesn't have a day job he won't have a lot of cash
Aye am sure I saw it somewhere before the Katsidis fight that he worked on the rail track doing repairs/maintenceJ-C wrote:I think he has a day job on the tube doesn't he?Coco wrote:Fighters don't tend to be on a wage, they earn on a fight by fight basis, London is an expensive place to live, Mitchell has a missus and a kid, if he doesn't have a day job he won't have a lot of cash
Edit: Just checked that, he used to.
I guess its his mum's place, purely a guess though judging that the paps took a picture of his mum. What he does with his money is his business, although I think most people would give their parent/s an upgrade also if they are earning fairly decent money. I wasn't expecting a mansion, but thought it would be a bit more upmarket. The guy has been in many title fights, headlined many shows.banjo wrote:Is it his house or his mums? Surely he lives in a different house with his missus and kid. Also I think I read somewhere that he had/has a day job, can't remember what it was though. Believe it or not though the majority of sportsmen and women have a day job.
I read an article a few years ago in which Mitchell was bragging about owning his own flat and chalet (whatever he meant by that),and a couple of Rolex's. Then he is lending money off FW. Who knows what is going on with Mitchell,he comes across as a bit of a dick. His Mother had a right gob on her as well when i have seen him box live. Rivals Froch's bird for 'support'.MachoMan09 wrote:Stu, he won't have pocketed anywhere near the money you might think. It doesn't work like that. Also, and if they can get one, for a sportsman in an up and down game like boxing to take out a big mortgage can be very risky. Who's to say what you'll be earning a few months down the line, if anything.stujones wrote:I guess its his mum's place, purely a guess though judging that the paps took a picture of his mum. I will admit I too feel sorry for John Murray as he must one of the most unluckiest guys in British boxing at the moment and one of the most excitnig to watch at the same time, but surely while the Police build the case for it there maybe an opportunity for the fight to happen to fight while Mitchell is on bail, but I doubt that might happen as Mitchell's head will be all over the place.G0mez wrote:Let's be real here, the police don't just walk into any random person's house and make arrests of this calibre unless they had a iron case.
I'd be a bit concerned for Mitchell's liberty IF they have got them bang to rights for production and intent to supply as this article suggests.
He has a chequered past already with the law and was recently banned for drink driving if I'm not mistaken.
If they think they can swerve it onto his mum or someone else to take the rap for him, then the CPS will see straight through that. They'll add perverting the course of justice to his list of offenses.
My sympathy is reserved for John Murray, just as he walks away from a Rees fight and dumps his belt, his dance partner gets caught up in this lot.
As a selfish boxing fan, i hope it unfolds that Mitchell is innocent of the charges and the fight goes ahead. But that is a really optimistic view of the events unfolding it would seem !
The house is probably worth somewhere around £200k judging by similar properties for sale in the area. Along with living costs, supporting his kids, trainer and promoter fee's, the kid can't have come close to buying his parents somewhere better (if by better we mean more expensive). I remember him saying his Mrs kicked him out prior to the Katsidis fight so I'd guess he's probably paid out a bit there too.stujones wrote:I guess its his mum's place, purely a guess though judging that the paps took a picture of his mum. I don't think he got anywhere near that for the Katsidis fight.kamicazze wrote:He earned 160,000 for the Michael katsidis bout i think because it was a large purse bid that warren won. But obviously tax comes off that
