Just playing fight night champion.......

On legacy mode, why on earth can you only fight from the left hand side ?

on the other fights ie Tyson vs foreman you can choose sides.......

But on the legacy mode you can't and it defaults to the left side !!

Absolute crap.....

This is a basic thing with the game and they can't get it right !!

fighting on the left hand of the screen feels way different to the right

I'm dumping this game, just ruins it totally

depends which camera mode you have it on. On some, it can change sides mid-round if both fighters are circling in the same direction (which I find really annoying as I prefer fighting froim the left)

my online record is gash.

used to be a bit better on rd 4.

but this new one is brutal online.

Hey listen, have you tried using an ethernet cable btw?, its better for online as it gives a better signal & avoids the dredded lag at your end.

Ah yes I remeber now, I had to install a new update to get the wi fi to work, tough it might now be the samer on your ps3

cant wait to play you and hitman, I have been playing it like mad, most of my time in the studio these days seems to be taken by endless loading of samples, so when my egineer is doing this for me I sneak of and play fight night, its great for killing the time between boring stuff.

decided to jump in at deep end last night online and got knocked out first round by Boxrecs John Saxon

played a few matches after that against randoms and won 2 out 4 , i was down twice as Ali against Tyson in First and pulled a short right out the bag and it was all over.

Need to work on my tactics when i try to fight fire witrh fire i end up on deck

Hey Gaz don's sweat it mate. I have been laid out in bed and off work unwell for 5 weeks and have been demented on strong pain killers so the only thing i have been doing is playing the game (roughly 1200 times BTW) in that time I have somehow managed beat 2 world champs and the british champ.

Play me again when you can and I will put my mic on and talk you through all the secrets ok? as I have learned some reall sneaky stuff recently.

BTW watch out for ketchel is a tricky bod punching bastardo!!
And hitman will just talk you out of the fight

A major major flaw is how uneffective the jab is every fighter. It doesn't snap properly like it did in FN Round 2 on the PS2 and it doesn't cause any damage either. Body punches should do more damage as well.

To be good at this game you've just got throw loads of hooks. The designers of the game (not the same developers as the far superior rd2 I'm told) seem to have no understanding of the sweet science. It's as if they based the game on watching EBF fights.

No mate you are wrong about the jab, if you throw it while rotating the left lever it will land as a counter jab and it can do serious damage, I use it all the time.
I dont thow hooks as much as I use the jab & uppercut.

To be good at the game you have to be a body puncher and good counter puncher who wont run it's as simple as that.

At first I hated the new update because my style was to be a counter puncher who liked to box on the back foot but now it forces you to fight if you see what I mean.

its got more difficult over the years Knockout kings and Fight night 3 i felt i was pretty good at it , last years one i struggled as i was always overpowered and couldnt get people off me who were attacking the body , i was trying to block but it keeps getting through

seems a bit same with this one

i did go roy jones in a match thhough and stood infornt of the guy and slipped punches and hit on counter and that was working

im just going to keep playing it few games a night and learn my trade
