I thought that we would see quite a few changes before the 1st bell.

Manswell has a good paper record, but got KO'd in 2 by Stiverne in his last fight, and really got belted in that one

Bot is unbeaten, but looking at his record he's hardly been tested, so hard to tell what he's like

In fairness he looked decent enough for a round and a bit , Stiverne just caught him with a belter of a shot if I recall correctly. Like Alex says I reckon he'll be exciting to watch, certainly more so than Oquendo would have been.

Bot looks good to me from what I've seen! Tough draw though

Yeah when i watched the fight i thought Manswell was doing ok for a round and a half, but then Stiverne landed a big right and that was it really.
His defense wasn't the best, didn't bring his left up even when in close.

Remember reading somewhere that he was a decent amateur and think the commentators were going on about how he'd signed for Don King and that the Stiverne fight was a sink or swim move....guess he sunk.

Tough tough draw for him but I doubt he'll be going in there for a hugfest...

crap. The replacements are obviously very inferior, and the quality of the tournament has been lowered significantly.

Bot looks to have the easiest draw for me. He has drawn probably the weakest fighter in the first round and avoids Perez and Johnson till the final.

Anyone know who the alternates are?

they've lost there big names thats for sure. Sprott has a good chance again here.

Yeah, but he has bigger fish to fry...proper titles.

Too much risk and not enough reward for young, unbeaten prospects against bangers who know they only have to fight hard for three rounds.

No real loss in Gomez withdrawing and i wouldn't mind if Johnson withdrew too as both guys could easily win the tournament by using their superior skills and just jabbing and moving to points victories in all 3 fights which wouldn't make for the most exciting of spectacles.

As i mentioned before PrizeFighter is like the 20/20 of cricket, you want sloggers/sluggers trading hard shots and knocking each other out, not the geoffrey boycotts of the boxing world winning fights technically like an amateur boxing fight.

Of the 8 Boxers left, the only guys who may go on to something are Mike Perez and the unknown Bol, the rest have seen better days or never really had what it takes and that includes Johnson.

I think Gregory Tony will do great in tournaments like this and could even be a surprise winner of PrizeFighter but i don't think he's ever going to do anything on a world level. Just caught the video of Manswell - Stiverne. He is gonna be in big trouble if Perez lands on him.

And not one fkker mentions Sprott - who has beaten ranked guys, giants and won a tournament like this before without a scratch.

Skybet have taken the Johnson/Tony fight down off display and suspended the outright, presuming there may be a problem with one of those two fighters.

I know Fields is here but not sure if Johnson has arrived.

Anyone know anything?

I so wanted this to be comp with good value, known competitors.

It will be a shame if Johnson is out.
