Agreed, those fights captured all Eubanks skills, chin, ring nous, punch power and sheer determination to win.

Rocchigiani and the Wharton fights were fantastic displays, but it will never beat the completeness of the first Benn fight. He out boxed him and then out muscled him.

Rocchi by far esp considering what he did against Darius M and M.Nunn after , Rocchi was never close to being beaten going in -Eubank dominated him i thought.. also considering it was in germany..

Darius M thing was travesty Rocchi had the beating of him.. also the Rocchi/Maske 1 was controversial with majority of germans thinking Rocchi won clearly.. ofcorse they both came back to beat him fair n square in the re-matches though..

Rocchi is a v.underrated fighter , extremely good guard too deal with with effective straight punching.. big southpaw, v.good timing.. by far Eubank's best victory imo..

Yes it was a great win, but Benn pips it for me...

My favourites are the Wharton fight and Thompson fights. Although I did enjoy his stoppage of Gary Stretch. There was something about Stretch I just didn't like and took pleasure in seeing him tko'd.

For me Benn 1 because it was the first time most had seen him & he was a bit of enigma & secondly because it was a pretty brutal fight.

For comedy value the Dan Sherry back headbutt shenanigans.

Rocchagiani beat the crap out of Michaleczeski in the first fight and Graciano was indeed robbed though the second fight was without contreversy and a good win for Dariuz.

He hit him after the break after marginally being a couple of rounds up - Nearly everyone was a couple of rounds up by the midway point as Dariusz was such a slow starter. It's like saying Thomas Molinares beat Marlon Starling? He couldn't miss him with that left hook, his face was all busted up.

eubanks had an incredible run on the fringes of the top level of 160-168 for so many years in what was the strongest period for the middleweight divisions since the 70s so it rankles me that during 88-95 he never faced a michael nunn,roy jones jnr,james toney, gerald mclellan,mike mccallum,roberto duran,sumbu kalambay, or julian jackson.it would have said a lot more if he could have faced at least 2 out of that list .

Unlike benn he didnt take on top top americans.

Anyway as it is he still put together a very very good resume just not a great one.

His best win was the benn kayo. Than the tragic watson kayo. I also rate highly the rocchigiani ,malinga, lindell holmes wins.

A fantastically strong,unorthodox fighter with sharp combinations and handspeed and courage and bottle in buckets.but he could have been so much more if he had had his mind on the job more
