Degale/Cleverly sparring stopped

They are not sparring each other anymore because they feel it is too much of a risk before the fight such is the standard of sparring. From what Cleverly said it seemed he thaught Degale could hurt him if it went much longer sure thats not case just how it sounded. If truth about this sparring is correct to me Groves doesn't stand a chance

Maybe they stopped because Cleverly's style is nothing like Groves, and DeGale's is nothing like Braehmer???

:OhYes: I liked your usage of the 'buttering up' phrase and reckon you are right!

I'm absolutely flabbergasted that anyone thinks Groves can win this fight. Its a terrible match for him and I just hope he can recover. Degale could win a world title tomorrow imo.

degale should win this fight comfortably but his not ready for a shot at a world title yet, he could possibly win against the weakest champ, but his not ready for the elite fight after fight yet :shame:

Name me a fighter (except Froch) who fights the elite fight after fight?

In the Uk we get far too bogged down in thinking our guys are not ready. Dis Alex Ferguson make Wayne Rooney play in every division right up to the prem? No, because he was ready for the top imediately. I dont find the notion of Degale fighting any of the guys in the super 6 in the next 12 months unrealistic at all.

Difficult to say this when Degale has never been tested. Sooner or later he will be in a tough fight, unlikely to win a world title without having his back against the wall at some point, we don't know how he will perform under that amount of pressure. Groves has been in that place amd come through it. He also has the power to trouble Degale. That's why I think Groves has more of a chance than many people think.

You are "flabbergasted" that an unbeaten, talented, big-punching fighter who beat DeGale as an amateur is being touted as a possible winner of this fight?

Haven't seen much of Groves at all but I was expecting a close fight.

Reading posts here sounds like I've fallen for the hype. I'm really hoping it will be competitive with a momentum swing or two.
