what happened to the hyland brothers promotions they use to put some good shows on, then when neary and dunne packed it in, i think they finished aswell

Oh, he didn't cause any trouble or make a big fuss or spoil anybodies night; he just loved to fight and he would fight anyone at the drop of a hat to make a few bob.

i seen him a couple of years ago walkin thru liverpool when me and my mate were goin to the races in aintree and what a gent,i shouted him and we chatted for a good 20minutes and i was tellin him bout me mukka garry delaney being inside,and he was sayin shea that some young knobhead was tryin to start on him in his local and he was with his missus and told the lad 3 times to bugar off and didnt want no trouble, anyway the lad come over and tried to drop his nut on shea he was sayin and he hit him with a left hook and he sparked the space cadet,apparently shea said it was a good half hour before they could bring the lad round again,he said his arse was twitching as he thought he done him bad,but had sympathy for garry as he said its easily done and your punch will never leave you,but what a smashin fella shea is and we had our photo done and said anytime up liverpool again to pop into his gym in anfield called "shamrocks gym",great guy .

I know Jimmy really well and some of the stupid stuff beIng written Is lies, he's a good fella and while I'm not saying he's a saint he IS NOT a bully as is being made out here and in papers, he's always made time for fans and just people in general.. He is a good guy and a guy that likes to keep himself to himself.. I hope this nonsense disappears for him

I've not said he were a bully. The man who told me about it had no reason at all to lie. He were over here and, if there were any takers; (he weren't bothered how much bigger they were than him); they'd have a fight for money. he didn't pick on anyone, didn't spoil anyones night, didn't intimidate anyone. He was up front about it; that's not a bully. That's someone who likes a fight, is good at it and knows he can make a few quid at it.

Spot on Tony, I`ve met Jimmy a few times over the years in town, havin a few bevvies and a laugh, and its always been a pleasure to talk to him, also seen him at a few boxing shows, and for me he`s a top guy
