How do you know that Ali wouldn't have made it out of the fourth had Cooper floored him with a minute or two left in the round? I don't think getting floored earlier in a round means a fighter is hurt more than if they were floored later in the round.broncobuster wrote:Both these fighters landed a left hook on ALI'S CHIN and both times Ali was put down and in trouble, Enry's hammer struck early in the fight towards the end of the 4th round when ALI was still fresh, Joe's left hook put ALI down towards the end of the fight which broke Ali's jaw, Enry's hammer was a perfect target punch, Joe's hook was set up during his busy style, which one was the hardest, which one hurt Ali more, i tend to lean towards Enry's hammer as ALI was still fresh and needed the minute between the rounds to recoup, where as when Joe decked ALI he got up and lasted the rest of the round. rest in piece OUR ENRY
Ali was susceptible to left hooks, Sonny Banks also dropped Ali with a left hook. Frazier didn't break Ali's jaw, Ken Norton did in the 2nd round with a straight right.broncobuster wrote:Both these fighters landed a left hook on ALI'S CHIN and both times Ali was put down and in trouble, Enry's hammer struck early in the fight towards the end of the 4th round when ALI was still fresh, Joe's left hook put ALI down towards the end of the fight which broke Ali's jaw, Enry's hammer was a perfect target punch, Joe's hook was set up during his busy style, which one was the hardest, which one hurt Ali more, i tend to lean towards Enry's hammer as ALI was still fresh and needed the minute between the rounds to recoup, where as when Joe decked ALI he got up and lasted the rest of the round.
