I know he has just bombed out some average fighters, but how far can this kid go?

Its the first time ive seen him,ive read plenty about him&i was impressed by him to be honest(opposition was poor tho) I bet they wouldnt put Chisora,Fury or Price in with the Cuban... I look forward to seeing him again over the longer distance&against better oppenents...

All depends if good looking eddie signs him up

Yes i think he could beat the best we have here quite easily,apart from maybe Price(il judge when he step up)

I think he is something special if his chin & stamina hold up. I can't see many putting up with that type of onslaught.

Perez looked impressive' think he could become a poss world champ' young' got power' fearless' undefeated' one for the future. Eddie's heavyweight hope. Could be good for his growing stable.

People are getting carried away but he wasnt all that great.

He had a very easy draw that flattered him and he should have had Manswell out in the first. He seems to wing his shots a lot as well not to mention the fact he is a very short squat heavy. Will be interesting how he does against a 6'4 heavy with a decent jab.

The other issue is his stamina he isnt a concussive puncher so his fights at higher levels will go to later rounds whats his stamina like its going to have to be good for him to keep up a good workrate.

I missed Prizefigher, unfortunately, but I'm very impressed with the results. Robert Helenius took 6 rounds to get rid of Gregory Tony. Good stuff indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing him in a longer fight against good opposition.

That's a shame. I would've expected better, given Tony's career in kickboxing. What about Perez vs Tye Fields? How was that fight, if you don't mind me asking.

I didnt think Tony should have been giving the nod against the big russian in the first round(they have fought eachother in mma before) the Final didnt really get going&was stopped,they let perez first round oppenent take more in the opener...

Far.... But he needs to get this whole idea of a world title shot out of his head, he's just not ready for the Klitchskos.

Perez should be looking for a fight against Sprott, Skelton or Williams.

Maybe Hearns could keep him active and line up these 3 fights for Perez over the next 10 months. (It's what I would do).

After outclassing and out-working the old-timers, he should turn his attention to Chsora, Fury and Sexton.

If he could beat these 6 fighters before 2014... Then, maybe he wouldbe ready for a world title shot.

But he would have to stick to the gameplan and not get excited.

Spoke to Manswell after fight he said Perez did he hit hard but was easy to hit. I think Perez was smash Fury or chisora easily

Absolute nonsense. He should go abroad and fight in Germany. Fight the likes of your Samuel Peter, Hasim Rahman and some young contenders. Beating these British "gatekeepers" means damn all. He is way above the likes of Sprott, Sexton, Williams and Skelton. British heavweight fights will not prepare him for the top. I know for a fact he was gutted that Kevin Johnson pulled out as he was looking forward to knocking him out.

Fury, Chisora or Price would never take a fight with this guy. Until tonight he has been a really well kept secret. I reckon he will bypass the British scene and work his way up the rankings further afield in Europe.

He is a serious talent. And he will get even better. What we didn't see tonight was his chin being tested. And let me tell you that is one of his main strengths. This lad can take a shot. And he is genuinely fearless. Not a phoney who claims he will fight anyone just for effect.

Derek Chisora is a really poor mans version of Ismickael Perez. He is not bruiser. He can bang but when its not happening for him in terms of a KO he can use his boxing skills too. There are not many heavyweights as quick as him thats for sure. One area he needs to dedicate time to going forward is his stamina. But this is something he has been putting huge work into.

This kid is exciting. His speed & power made his ops shite themselves.

Prizefighter is shite so I dont think he'll go far.

Get him some rounds and then try to get a Holyfield fight is the way I would go about it. Hard to say how far he will go as the opponents weren't the best tonight. But he has speed and decent power. Looks like he can box too. I hope he now gets some fights on the regular. He's only 25 too: he has a great future ahead of him.

What you on about opponents weren't the best? Manswell had one loss, Tony and one loss
Fields had three losses out of 47 wins with 45 kos, all were fringe contenders and he obliterated them, so if fury has kod fields in 40 secs you wouldn't be impressed?

Cannot not be impressed with his handspeed and power - I would like to see him in a non prizefighter format before making judgement. He did lookvery open at times. Manswell was landing those uppercuts very frequently, I could see what he was doing.

It was tongue in cheek mate. With a bit of work he can be world level in this climate. I would like to see him take on our best though. Whats the chances of this happening? Is he with Hearn now or what?
