Promoters & IBF figured he wasn't a chance, so they didn't bother organizing one

It is either arrogance or incompetence. Either way it makes the IBF and the promoter look dopey.

As Effie Stephanidis would say, "How embarrassment."

Its a commen thing, Kostya Tszyu said after he won one of his belts. He kept the belt presented to him in the ring which belonged to the champion. And sent him the new one when it arrived.

According to ABC 24 news this morning, they didn't have a belt to give him. Maybe someone brought the IBF Pan Pac belt to the airport for media sake?

I don't believe that the belts are created ahead of time in most cases, as that would cost money, and there is obviously no guarantee that a new belt would have to be created for a new champ. I don't think that there is anything unusual about this case.

Yeah, I guess you're right. IBF, like WBC & WBA operates on shoestring budget
