Just a thought! One of the beauties of the sport is that is crosses borders and we all have favourite fighters from around the world. For many nationalistic jingoism just doesn't exist within those ropes!!

So any Brits backing Wlad?

Probably not, but it wouldn`t destroy me if he did knock Hate out. Wlad does come across a nice bloke underneath the contrived jokes and what have you and I do feel that Haye goes a bit far with his abuse.

For the sake of the heavyweight division, I would like to see Haye win, but then again, if he retires in October, the Klits will just take over again anyway?

Not really as you have to go for the Brit. However I don't mind Wlad as Haye is a cock inmho.

I had a bit of BBC on this morning and Wlad was on there. He made sure that all the presenters shook his hand, that was quite funny. He said soemthing like 'Who wouldn't want to shake the hand of the Heavyweight Champ of the World'?' as a nice little dig to Haye.

Whilst the Brit in me would be chuffed if Haye wins, another part of me would also think 'you deserved it you knob' if Haye loses D

Have gone off Haye since his foray into the heavyweight world but will still be hoping that he manages to beat Wlad.

I don't see how it will be better for boxing if he wins, given that he's talked about retiring for God know's how long.

Additionally, the Harrison fight was a blatant two fingers to the fans who'd always supported him through his farcical HW career to that point.

I've never been one for cheering on a fighter just because he holds the same passport as me. I actually like both Wlad and Haye.

I fully expect Wlad to win this one and I'll be happy for him if he does. However a Haye win would spice things up in the HW division no end.

Not bothered either way as things stand. The British angle really doesn't matter to me and on a personal level I like them both.

If Haye was going to stay in boxing for definite then I'd be behind him, but as things stand, with him repeatedly claiming he's going to retire this year whatever, I think it might actually be better for the sport if Wlad won. Or if Haye beats Wlad, Vitali beats Haye. What use to boxing is a heavyweight champion who retires immediately after having discredited his main rivals? The division would look even more crap then, so you could argue that Haye wins would actually be bad for the sport.

My girlfriend is supporting Wlad. But she also wants to see Haye fight Mayweather. God help me

Haye is not doing his fanbase or his legacy any good by labelling Wlad a fraud. Could you imagine if Mosley did the same to Pacquaio and did cause the upset - Larry Merchant's interview would be interesting - "So Shane, you just beat up a guy you said was a fraud and joke - no big deal then".

Eubank always called Nigel a fraud but at the end of his war with Nigel he continued to call him such.... only after the rematch did he appologise and said he got Nigel wrong. I somehow don't imagine Haye doing the same however he beats Wlad. He will be giving it all the "I've beaten the most dominant champion since Lewis" stuff. Like he is with Valuev now.

I will be out in Germany supporting Haye because he is British and because I prefer his style. I think it would be good if Haye beat both Klitschkos......then all 3 can hopefully leave the division, leaving it short on quality but competitive.

I am, i'm sick to death of haye and the crap he comes out with all the time.

I will definately be supporting Wlad, i just cant stand Haye's arrogance. How on earth can he honestly sit there saying Wlad only beats bums or people who are past it. Wlad has been fighting for heavyweight titles for 11 years now. Haye is actually the one who has fought heavyweight bums or people past it. An anyone who is supporting haye just coz he is British is a fool. Its people like him that give Britain a bad name, a gobshite in victory and no doubt he will be a gobshite in defeat.

But there is no exciting British KO specialist, he was exciting before stepping up to heavyweight, now he's no more fun to watch than Wlad.

I wouldn't mind seeing Haye win but as has already been pointed out he's likely not going to be around much longer anyway so the division will soon return to the big steaming pile of shit it has been for the last half a decade.

Supporting Haye and also going out to Germany but I do like Wlad as a person. He has a dry sense of humour and seems very personable.

Just watched that link, Wlad comes across really well, doesnt seem fazed one bit. An i sure hope he smashes Haye's smarmy arsed face in, an then do us all a favour and throttles that smug pudendum Adam Booth. Thats only my opinion of course.

Wrists, I assume you mean me? Let me explain my logic. Looking at it longterm, what use is an all-conquering British hero who will retire three months after the fight? As I said, if Haye was hanging around I'd feel different, but if he's as good as his word then it's neither here nor there to me. If Haye were to retire in October, and the Wlad fight takes place in July, I'd get exactly three issues' value out of him beating Wlad, two of those being summer issues which sell badly anyway. And in all honesty, Haye has never been a seller for the mag anyway when I've put him on the cover — as I've said often, Pacman and Floyd knock any Brit out of the water in sales terms. If Haye were to hang around and keep fighting, maybe things would change, but as things stand it really doesn't make much difference to me or the mag — I'm just looking forward to it as an interesting and hopefully exciting fight, there is no issue of patriotism for me.

My head is supporting Wlad but my heart as Brit is supporting Haye who I believe will inflict the fourth knockout loss on Wladimir K's record.

It's possible to believe a fighter will win but actually back the other guy because he's closer to your heart.
Surely you've heard the expression letting the heart rule the head.

But he said he believed Haye would KO Wlad, not just that he was backing him.

When I've heard heart/head expression used previously it is usually that there is one fighter you want to win (heart) and one you believe will win (head).

I don't see how it is possible for you to think one fighter will win but believe that another will.

Wee bit pedantic on my part obviously. On a side note when reading people’s predictions I often wonder to what extent they actually believe them or whether they just write what they hope will happen.
