No offence to Hastings, but there really are scrapping the barrel with this one.

Would have liked to have seen Cook & Smith on the live show as well especially if Cook is being lined up to fight Burns. Hopefully they will show the full fights rather than just a few punches

The DeGale fight before Cleverly? That's risky, I would have done it the other way round, even though Clev is the nominal headliner. There might be a risk of casual fans leaving the arena after the super middleweight clash, which is the one that's been getting all the publicity

How many tickets have been sold?

As of Bunce's show last Thursday, FW said there were around 1500 left - so that means around 17-18,000 sold by my reckoning

I'd have thought Smith being a former British champion, making a comeback at middleweight with a new trainer would have been worthy of being on SBO, especially if Saunders, Skeete and Sexton are being shown against opposition which doesn't exactly set the pulse racing.

Still no official mention of Spike O'Sullivan on the schedule.

Wonder what time he is on.

I'd be very surprised if all three of those you mention will be shown Don. They may be scheduled to take place while the broadcast is on, but Sky will want to show promo footage of the main events, understandably so, and those are the fights that seem likely to make way for that.

I don't think its a good bill. Put Sexton and Smith in with guys that could give them a competitive fight and its a different story. If i decide to get a ticket, which seem to still be freely available, i doubt i will bother turning up before Frankies fight.

Quite a few West Midlanders on the bill, even outside of Mutley/Gavin.

I approve of that.

It just shows how spoilt british boxing is. I've been to promotions (lots) where fights on record are nowhere near as competative as this. It's a great show. Probably wouldn't do payperview but would go. (actually I probably would do payperview.

As I've said, it depends what you want. If you're content with two, on paper, competitive fights with a bit of edge to them, great stuff.

SHIT BILL gutted i paid £110 now. I thought the undercard fights would have been alot better then this. Will wait until the day for murray v mitchell had enough of the one sided beat downs on wazza undercards. First fight at 17.00 not a real fight till 21.35 what a joke.
