Hit or Miss? How far will these guys go?

Frankie Gavin - IMO - World Title Challenger. I don't think he will actually win a belt, well one of the recognised ones anyway.
Tony Jerffries - Seems like he has better prospects ahead of him namely Bellew and Clev. British standard at best I think.
Billy Joe Saunders - European level at best.
David Price - European level. I think Tyson Fury will achieve more than him.
Paul Smith (at middleweight) - European level. I think Barker would beat him on points if they were to fight.
George Groves - I think he will unsuccessfully fight for a world title.
Richie Towers - European level.............if he ever fights
James Degale - Will clean up SMW once Froch and Ward depart. He could come unstuck at LHW if he decides to move up.
Sam Sexton - British level
Delboy Chisora - World Title challenger. Will come up short (in the ring) ha-ha

i think frankie gavin will definitely win a world title at some point.
i also don't thin degale will 'clean up' at smw any time soon.

Far too early to be distinguishing between "European" or "World class" for the likes of DeGale, Gavin, Price, Groves, Saunders based on their fights so far IMO. Depends how well they are developed form here.
Your probably about right of Chisora, Sexton and Smith though

Yes I realise it is too early but thought I would have a bit of fun by seeing what people thought that was all.
Trust me Degale will have at least two SMW belts by 2013! When all the big boys go up to 175lb who will be left at 168lb? The SMW will be weaker than 154lb division is now!!!!
Prince Aaron - European level, maybe even world level.
John Murray - World champ at 135lb and 140 lb for definite.
Kevin Mitchell - Retirement after Murray finishes him off! Ha-ha. No further than European.

Chisora will be a world title gatekeeper, sexton british to euro level. Degale will be a SMW world champ although he will have some mandatory rubbish defences. Richie towers will be a mcdermott type who gatekeeps domestically, Groves will likely get a world title at some stage. Paul smith is a hard one to judge, id probably say a euro champ - world gatekeeper, david price will be a world champ for the sole reason of when he is ready to step up the leading pack will be stepping down, billy joe saunders i really can not come to decision over (have a feeling he will be tony doherty mark 2 in underachieving) , Tony jeffries will be euro level at most - maybe a world challenger on name value and frankie gavin is guaranteed to be champ. He is that good.

I think Frankie Gavin and Kell Brook could win world titles at welter, which i why i reckon allegedly kept trying to get Brook to fight at light middle.

frankie gavin is the only guy on your list who will win and succesfully defend world titles ! and i dont include wbo belts ok.

Ha-ha Am I the only one who rates John Murray on here?! I think he is really good. I have watched a lot of Rios and Soto recently and he would do both of those turkeys no problem.
I would like to see Jaffa do well but he is quite inactive. Is he still that nursing that cut and training in the U.S?
I have been traveling and living in Oz for the last 8 months. They talk about Danny Green and Anthony Mundine like they are the best things since sliced bread. I keep telling them Mundine is old and pony.

your right about mundine, and the same for green for that matter, john murray is good, he strugled in his last fight and i believe mitchell will have his number, so i dont think either of them will win world titles, i like jaffa too, but he wont get to world level.

Based on? You are probably the only one (or one of the few) that thinks Murray would easily beat two world class fighters who have proven themselves at much higher levels than he has.

John Murray would give either of those 2 boxers a very good fight, would he beat them? maybe.
So i would say Murray can operate at world level, he is definatly a top 15 boxer in the lightweight division.
And could win a world title.

Im sorry I think Murray is massively overrated by so many posters.
He is something like 4th in the Ring rankings?!
The lad hasn't shown that he is anywhere near championship class. He isn't a god enough boxer to outbox any of the champions or top fighters at lightweight, as a pressure fighter he doesnt have enough of a dig to truly wear fighters down at the top level. Katsidis has his number all day long and he doesn't look like winning a title anytime soon.
Look at Rios, Marquez, Soto Guerrero Katsidis...... He doesnt stand a chance against any of these.

I can see Gavin, Saunders, Price, Chisora and Murray all taking the Cleverly route to a World Title and inheriting a belt following a vacation and then defending against a Euro level challenger (that's not a dig at Cleverly, who I think will go on to mix it with the top guys at 175; more a dig at the belt donating muppets who are charged with running the sport).
Can definitely see Gavin stepping up and being viewed as a genuine world titlist. I can see Price and Chisora fighting for a vacant Heavyweight title in a few years after the Klits and Haye have gone - there really is a paucity of upcoming talent at heavyweight, so no reason that they can't be genuine Top 10 heavies.
I'd like to think BJ Saunders and Kell Brook will do great things, remains to be seen how they fare on their returns from a disappointing year, injury and inactivity wise respectively.
Jaffa and Groves to win Euro belts and possibly even face each other. Possibly challenge for a world belt, but neither will be divisional top 10's.
Degale could be the best of the bunch and i see him establishing himself as a genuine superstar in the Calzaghe mould, albeit he'll go on to big fights (having walked out on Warren) sooner than it took Joe.
John Murray remains a bit of a mystery. Possibly over-protected, looked a long way from genuine world class last time out and would struggle against someone like Rios based on that performance. If that was a one-off then he can certainly win a title, but I don't think he'll ever be considered among the elite at and around his weight class. I actually think his brother Joe could be the surprise package. He's being brought along well and somewhat under the radar. He has a solid amateur pedigree and seems to be adding power in recent times. I think he'll go farther than big bro.
Kev Mitchell has blown his chance. All of the recent shenanigans give me the impression that his heart isn't in the fight game and if it's not there's no way he can be a world class contender. I'd be happy to be proved wrong in the coming months, though.

Thing, is , other than at the very top level, a lot of it depends on how they are manouvered - eg most of these people- all in fact, could win the European title if put in with a beatable enough opponent- as does happen quite a lot these days.
Frankie Gavin - I can see him being taken down a "route" to a WBO Title , perhaps, or maybe being put in with one of the world's best, and getting beaten.
Tony Jerffries - British title probably- with matchups in his favour, thats certainly possible. Maybe as an "opponent" for a British World Title holder at some point.
Billy Joe Saunders - Hard to say. European belt can be won with the right match ups.
David Price - A bad knockout waiting to happen. For sure, I hope I'm proved wrong.
Paul Smith (at middleweight) Really depends on opportunities offer. Certainly could get a Euroean title shot if offered.
George Groves - If he loses tonight, and I think he will, then he might come back at British title level.
Richie Towers - Don't know who that is.
James Degale - Hummm.. assuming he beats Groves, I can actually see a "soft touch" run of fights for a while, probably picking up the European title against three times unsuccessful EU title chalelnger Slavadock Frizxavizovicski , then perhaps a bad, unexpected KO.
Sam Sexton - Whatever. Probably get some fights at British level, yeah.
Delboy Chisora - Probably a world title at some point as the "opponent" , and he loses accordingly.
With the way things are, like the fact tonights show is PPV (when it shouldn't be- PPV should be saved for really big fights for proper titles), I really can't see any of them coming close to the superstar boxers of the past.

Murray , lets see. He hasn't lost, but again, it's just about how he is manouvered. But yeah, he doesn't appear to be World Level.
Mitchell was good, but never close to world level.
Other than outfighting Prescott (who isn't great) and a good win against the tiring Johansen, he really never beat anyone of note.
Still, if Mitchell can comfortably beat Murray, there are palces to go for him.
