its almost not visible now.stujones wrote:I only saw the Clev Bellew part of the press conference, how is Grove's black eye - is it still there, it was a beauty - but I don't like seeing a fighter with scar tissue going into a fight.
Looked like it was pretty much gone at the open training session they showed on Wednesday.stujones wrote:I only saw the Clev Bellew part of the press conference, how is Grove's black eye - is it still there, it was a beauty - but I don't like seeing a fighter with scar tissue going into a fight.
Or head clashes perhaps? Although with proper headguards this shouldn't happen. Think he's dished some out too. Dirrell put pic of his shiner up on Twitter courtesy of Groves!J-C wrote:Looked like it was pretty much gone at the open training session they showed on Wednesday.stujones wrote:I only saw the Clev Bellew part of the press conference, how is Grove's black eye - is it still there, it was a beauty - but I don't like seeing a fighter with scar tissue going into a fight.
Seems like he's picked up a couple of shiners over the course of this camp. Always the left eye too, wonder if thats southpaw jabs coming over his low held lead.
Yeah I've heard Degale was more than a stone over the weight four weeks before he boxed Smith. That, along with having to get in shape for his first 12-rounder, plus losing three pounds a week, couldn't have been easy, even with fitness nut Jimmy Mac pushing him! Wonder if he is tight at 12st. Thought he looked alot bigger than Groves in recent pictures of them standing side by side.MightyWarrior wrote:Mentioning DG being 8lbs over a few days ago....the Scottish presenter is good, seems to be a boxing fan too, unlike daveeffingdarts
Yep, both made the weight a-ok.DIRT SUGAR wrote:Yeah I've heard Degale was more than a stone over the weight four weeks before he boxed Smith. I think Booth knows exactly what he is doing. He is getting Groves a good payday before him Haye bail out later this year! If he wins its a bonus.MightyWarrior wrote:DeGale has the confidence of a super star, he glows with it - there's no way he's losing this...I think even Adam Booth is starting to wonder if he's made a mistake here.
