why is the best boxer on the whole show not getting attention ?
they could of atleast showed his weigh-in properly.
groves v degale and cleverly v yer that guy are the two main fights but frankies our most talented boxer, a world amateur gold is as good as an olympic gold, but isnt it funny the media dont care as much, when its gavin v brook i hope he gets this much attention !

Agree, although once he wins a title he will have his time to shine. At least he's not having unrealistic expectations heaped on him at this point, so no pressure.

Gavin isnt the best boxer on the show, he hasn't proved what Degale, Cleverly or even Groves has in the pro's

Yup as long as he gets the fights down the line not be too much in the spotlight at this stage is probably a good thing. It's not like he's someone his promoter is likely to neglect.

Woodley(Mutley)will make Gavin look superb tommorw night,not that Frankie isnt class but this fight has all the makings to make the young brummie look top drawer....Hes made for Frankie to play with.

It's a moot point about who is the best. I agree with you, just saying he hasn't had the opportunity of proving his class at same level as the others.

What's he doing messing around at Welterweight now anyway. Looks like the world level Light-Welterweight scene might clear out over the next year or two. Sort out the domestic level here then move on. Welterweight could, and should, wait.

I have to disagree, gavins last fight was at a weight above his own, his fight on saturday is at 147 too, his stopped 90% of his opponents, he won the irish title in his 8th fight, he was a better amateur then everyone else you mentioned including degale, and apart from paul smith who has degale beat ? and even smith is way overated !
i am patient and i know his time will come, but why no coverage at all ?

I think Degale and Gavin were similar standard as amateurs admitedly Gavin may have been slightly better. I know he fought up a weight but it was only against Michael Lomax who lets be honest lost to Bradley Pryce and stopped in three by Kell Brook. Paul Smith is a few levels above what Gavin has fought at so you can see why he is getting the coverage. However i think sky should be showing Gavin at least some attention im not sure there reasons for not doing so. Even the fans don't seem to interested in the Gavin fight for whatever reason.

My understanding is Frankie is televised, but isn't he scheduled for just after 8? That's when the broadcast starts and they're bound to kick it off with blurb and promos. Could be Frankie gets shown on a slight delay

i noticed gavin went very quiet when kell asked for a shot at the WBO inter-continental (which he got stripped of before gavin got his shot)

how would you rate gavin's chances against kell?

gavin does just not really excite me at all. good win v a jaded lomax & now a dustman who aint boxed for donkeys straight into a 12rounder
mcdonagh gave a better fight then lomax & we all no lomax is levels above mcdonagh.

I am not worried bout any fighter in Britain believe me kell is quality an I would have to bring my a game but his got weaknesses like us all an if the fight ever happens or gets made then were see but it won't be for a while cause I won't be on Hearn bill as kell won't be on Warren bill but hopefully when I get that lil more experience over the rounds were see the best of me the better the fighter the better i will be I'm sure

Good boxer Gavin is clearly but I do think people opinions of him on here are completely ridiculous at the moment. The guy hasn't even fought for the British title yet while Degale already has it and if he takes care of Groves tomorrow he will then be catapulted onto world level very soon. I personally don't think Gavin is anywhere near that yet. Put him in with someone like Lenny Daws as that would be a good benchmark. I just don't see the point of this fight with Young Mutley. Won't help his development.

why would taking care of groves catapult degale to world level ? degale would get beat up by everyone in the super six, i know his only a baby pro so its understandable, but why is everyone talking world class just yet ?

as frankie said himself "kell is quality", but i still think frankie would be to good for him this time next year !
